Early experience

Lei was born in Hong Kong (last night), 1987. Because my mother is from Beijing, she went back to Beijing to live at the age of 7. My parents are busy at work, and my grandmother brings them up at night. Grandma is a teacher of world history and loves literature. She often teaches history, Tang poetry and Song poetry in the evening, and teaches her to write calligraphy. At that time, she was studying at night in an international school, and the posters in the art classroom were all masters like Picasso, andy warhol and Monk, which made her fall in love with art classes. When grandma knew about it, she gave her a copy of "Sister Wendy tells the story of painting". She especially likes the paintings in it, watching them over and over again, and copying them over and over again. Under such edification, the seeds of art are planted in young hearts at night.

16 years old, admitted to the Central Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in art history and art management, and then successfully applied to the Graduate School of Columbia University, an Ivy League school in the United States to continue studying for a master's degree in art management.

Later, at the age of 65,438+07, I came to new york for an internship at the DavidZwirner Gallery. The first gallery I set foot in was one of the earliest foreign galleries in Beijing, the German "Blank Gallery". In this initial experience, she tried everything, from answering the phone to carrying pictures and other simple and trivial work. Start to contact and manage artists' archives, and participate in the promotion of the international market and face the work of major collectors. The actual work assigned to her by the gallery has gone far beyond the scope of ordinary interns. During this period, the experience of assisting an American gallery named 130 1PE to participate in the Hong Kong Art Fair became another new starting point of her career. In the process of more and more contact with various galleries and collectors, I gradually feel that the identity of curator and art consultant coincides with her ideal of serving artists.

In 2007, I began to play watercress at night, share my life, publish articles, do some online exhibitions, introduce my favorite artists and recommend the works of young artists around me. Soon, the party attracted a group of fans with its distinctive personal style and unique artistic opinions.
