What is "space-based power"?

Space-based combat weapon system is a weapon system that carries out anti-satellite, anti-missile and anti-spacecraft operations in space and attacks land, sea and air from space. According to the concept of "US Space Command 2020", space-based combat weapon systems include space-based jamming systems, space-based lasers, space-based platforms and space-based combat aircraft. 20 15 by 2030, the United States will be equipped with space-based jamming system (SBJ), space-based laser (SBL), space-based platform (SBP) and space-based vehicle (SOV). Space-based refers to a base in outer space, such as a satellite or space station.

Taking a base in outer space as a platform and as a regular starting base, large weapons can be called space-based weapons.

In contrast, it is sea-based, land-based and space-based.

Large weapons are based on land bases or platforms, which can be called land-based. Sea-based means that weapons are launched from offshore or underwater platforms, while air-based means that weapons are launched from aerial platforms (mostly airplanes). Space-based means launching weapons from platforms (satellites or space stations) in outer space.
