When is the International Anti-Drug Day?

Drug control refers to the work of preventing and punishing drug crimes, protecting citizens' physical and mental health and maintaining social order. In other words, it is a social custom reform work to use the power of administrative decrees and mass supervision to urge people who smoke or inject opium and substitute narcotics to quit their addiction, and to restrict and prohibit the cultivation, storage, manufacture, transportation and sale of drugs and appliances.

The main manifestations of the harmfulness of drugs are:

1, seriously endangering people's physical and mental health;

2. The drug problem induces other illegal crimes and destroys the normal social and economic order;

3. The drug problem infiltrates and corrodes political institutions, exacerbating corruption;

The drug problem has caused great economic losses to the society.

Signs of drug addicts:

1. Stealing money or goods at home or at work, or suddenly asking parents or friends for money or borrowing money frequently;

2. Hiding in your room for a long time, or staying away from family and others, unwilling to see people;

3. Going out mysteriously and furtively;

4. Possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia;

5. Cover the constricted pupils and wear sunglasses in inappropriate occasions;

6, sullen, dull eyes, poor appetite, thin body;

7. Wear a long-sleeved shirt in summer to cover the injection pinhole on the arm;

8. Emotional instability, abnormal anger, bad temper and restlessness;

9. Frequent visits to remote places and contacts with drug addicts for no reason.

Article 4 of the Anti-drug Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) implements the policy of giving priority to prevention, comprehensive treatment, prohibition of seeds, prohibition of trafficking and prohibition of smoking.

The anti-drug work is under the unified leadership of the government, and the relevant departments are responsible for their respective duties, and the society is widely involved. Forty-ninth local people's governments at or above the county level may, according to the needs of drug rehabilitation work, set up drug rehabilitation places; Support should be given to public welfare drug rehabilitation places run by social forces according to law, and necessary convenience and help should be provided.

Drug addicts can voluntarily live and work in drug rehabilitation places. Where a drug rehabilitation center organizes drug addicts to participate in productive labor, it shall pay labor remuneration with reference to the provisions of the national labor and employment system.
