1from the end of the 1920s to the beginning of the 1930s, Miro began to discuss collage and assembly, and created some strange graphics. These explorations continued for another ten years. The most impressive work in this period is the large-scale group painting of 1933, which is also the most abstract work so far. Some are based on collage elements, and the real details torn from newspapers are pasted on cardboard. Themes include tools, furniture, plates and glassware, suggesting his abstract organic shape, sometimes referring to the face or human body. The intention of these paintings is to take abstraction as the main body and to express it with neutral titles.

After this quiet and abstract pause, Miro continued his painting with wildness, and the nursery decoration painting was the biggest one. Although they look strong, such as black and red monsters painted on a bright blue background, these beasts are not so terrible. Even in the fiercest beast in the artist's mind, people can feel the kindness of the artist.

With the outbreak of World War II, Miro settled in Palma, Mallorca. In those years when he was isolated from the war, he needed to meditate and reevaluate everything, which prompted him to read some mysterious literary works and listen to Mozart and Bach. 1942, he produced some small gouache paintings entitled "Constellation", which was his most intricate and lyrical composition, and restored the beauty and brilliance of his works in1920s. However, what the artist is involved in at this time is the idea of flying and deformation, which is his idea of bird migration, seasonal changes of butterflies and the flow of constellations and galaxies. These constellation paintings were exhibited in Pierre Matisse Art Museum in new york in 1945, which contributed to the emergence of American abstract expressionist painters. Since 1930, Miro has regularly exhibited his works in new york, and he is more famous than any contemporary European master except Picasso and Matisse.
