In May, 2002, Dong Qing entered CCTV, when the Western Channel was established. She was invited to host one of the artistic programs "Charm 12" which was based on folk songs. She also participated in and hosted the 5th National Golden Microphone Awards Gala of CCTV, 2004CCTV-KBS China-Korea Song Festival, Come on for us-CCTV Music Channel launched a special program, CCTV 11th National Young TV Singers Grand Prix and other cultural programs.
