How do peony parrots distinguish between males and females, and what are their characteristics?

It can be distinguished by comparing cloaca. The cloaca of the male shows a small pubic space and a hump (that is, a spike). The distance between the cloaca and pubic bone of female birds is very large, especially for adult birds, the middle finger can be inserted, and it is flat without protrusion. This method is particularly accurate, and experienced people can tell the male and female from birds without error.

Generally speaking, a man and a woman are easy to get close to, but two men or two women are not easy to get along with and often attack each other. But this is not entirely the case. One is that two males or two females who grew up together in a cage can still be close, and the other is that even if a man and a woman are paired, the females will often chase or even bite the males.

The bird of Paeonia is13-17cm long and weighs 40-60g. Beak red, eyes and wax film white. The head is dark brown with a red and yellow band around the neck. The chest is light green, the back and wings are green, the wings are black, the tail is green and the feet are gray. There is also a brown-headed peony parrot with a brown head, commonly known as brown-headed peony. Short and stout, short tail and relatively large beak, peony parrots are mostly green, and artificial breeding and varieties make them appear in many colors.
