Jiang Wei (206 ~ 264) was born in Tianshui (now Gangu East, Gansu). It turned out that he was a corps commander of the Northern Wei Dynasty. In the sixth year of Jianxing (228), he invested in West Shu, which was appreciated by Zhuge Liang because of his extraordinary talents. He was appointed as a general in the west and made many contributions. After Zhuge Liang's death, he took over the military power in Xishu, joined forces with Jiang Wan in Hanzhong, and sent troops to attack Wei for many times in the Northern Expedition.

In the fourth year of Jingyuan (263), Wei sent generals Zhong Hui and Deng Ai to attack Shu, and the Lord of Shu went out to meet him. Zhong Hui was ambitious and took Jiang Wei with him, wanting to rebel against Shu. Jiang Wei tried to recover Shu, but unfortunately, both Zhong Hui and Jiang Wei were killed. Wei Bing cut open Jiang Wei's stomach and found that Jiang Wei was as bold as a barrel.
