Deep space objects in shield constellation

Shield contains several open clusters, a globular cluster and a planetary nebula. Messier's celestial table contains two open clusters, namely M 1 1 Duck Cluster (NGC6705) and M26 Cluster (NGC6694). In the east of the shield, we can find globular cluster NGC67 12 and planetary nebula IC 1295, which are 24 arc seconds apart. Common name: wild ducks

M 1 1 is an open cluster located in Shield. 168 1 year was first discovered by German astronomer Keesh, and it was numbered as1May 30, 764 by messier. An astronomer in Britain thought it was like a flying wild duck, so it was also called the wild duck cluster. It is the densest known open cluster, with about 500 stars, 5,500 light-years away from the Earth, with an apparent brightness of 6.3, an apparent diameter of 12.5 angular minutes and a line diameter of 18 light-years. Because of the dense stars in the cluster, it looks a bit like a nebula with a small aperture telescope. Only a telescope with a diameter greater than 30 cm can decompose the stars in M 1 1. It is located between Cygnus λ and Shields α, and can be easily found with binoculars. Right ascension: 18: 45.2 (hours: minutes)

M26(NGC6694) is an open cluster located in Shields. It is about 22 light years in diameter and 5,000 light years away. About 20 stars are visible, and there are more than 70 weaker stars. /kloc-0 was discovered in messier in 764.
