Ye Lingfeng has lived in Hongkong for more than 30 years. Before the Pacific War, she edited supplements of Li Bao and Lin Yan and supplements of Sing Tao Daily and Constellation, and actively participated in anti-Japanese propaganda activities. During the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, they were once arrested. Later, he edited magazines and wrote articles such as "Shen Jia's Three Hundred Years Sacrifice" and "Su Wu Tun", and cooperated with Kuomintang underground workers to collect information on the enemy's situation needed for the Anti-Japanese War.

After War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, he was still compiling the constellation supplement of Sing Tao Daily until his retirement in his later years. He has been writing for Ta Kung Pao, New Evening News, Century of Literature and Art, and Ocean Literature and Art for a long time. During the period, he was invited to return to Beijing for many times to watch the ceremony, attend cocktail parties and travel around the country. His last words were presented to the country in Qing Jiaqing's rare edition of Xin 'an County Records (he refused to be bought by outsiders before his death). After his death, his family sent him to Zhongshan Library in Guangzhou according to his wishes, and the rest of the books were donated to the Chinese University of Hong Kong (he was one of the famous bibliophiles in Hong Kong).
