The Analects of Confucius

Literally, when Confucius said this, he was less than fifty years old, maybe forty-five or six years old, and in a few years, he would reach fifty. This "plus" can also be interpreted as "false". Here's a problem. Why can I still learn the Book of Changes at the age of 50?

The connotation of "Yi" in Yi Shuo Gua is: "Exhausted and even fatal." There is an explanation for this, that is, the Book of Changes can thoroughly explore the fundamental truth of all things in the world, thoroughly understand the self-nature of human body and mind, realize the lofty goal of changing human destiny, and make human behavior and natural laws harmonious, balanced and endless. In "The Analects of Confucius is a government", Confucius said that "you can know your destiny at fifty". So, to sum up, it's no big deal that Confucius can read the Book of Changes in the "year of destiny". With this explanation, there is a question immediately. If you don't read the Book of Changes before the age of 50, how can you stand up at the age of 30 and not be confused at the age of 40?

Zhu believes that "pawn is similar to fifty characters, and it is also wrong." So "fifty" is a mistake of the word "pawn" and changed to "pawn learns easily" It means that if you give me a few years and devote all my energy to Yi-ology, I won't make a big mistake. Another explanation is that "Five" and "Ten" are divided into five years and ten years, which means that if I add a few more years, five years or ten years, I can thoroughly study the Book of Changes, so I won't make a big mistake.

No matter how the text is interpreted, we can still say this when we see Confucius in his later years. Give me some time, and I can thoroughly study the Book of Changes without making a big mistake. This saint, who is not satisfied with life, has a humble heart and has been studying as a pupil, deserves our admiration! It is still true that a saint can stand at the peak of culture and reach such a height in life. What reason do we have to stop the pace of life growth? We may need to know two things about Confucius' love and desire for Yi.

First of all, we should know the origin of the idiom "Bian Wei's Three Musts". According to "Historical Records Confucius Family", "Confucius is slow and happy. ..... easy to read, three unique. Say: Leave me for a few years. If so, I will be soft and easy. " In other words, Confucius especially liked reading Zhouyi in his later years, so much so that "Wei compiled three absolutely".

Wei is cooked cowhide. In ancient times, it was written on bamboo pieces and then strung together with ropes. Here, bamboo pieces are woven into books with thongs made of cooked cowhide. Confucius read the Book of Changes very diligently, which led to the braid being broken many times. This "three" means not three times, but many times. By reading Yi in this way, we can reach the state of "guest guest". "Binbin" means "Binbin" in "tenderness", which means that the roots and branches are flourishing and intact.

The second thing is that Confucius made a very famous annotation for the Book of Changes, that is, the Book of Changes, a total of ten articles, so it is also called Ten Wings. According to ancient records, Confucius "learned the Book of Changes fifty times and made ten wings." "Wing" means wing, which means auxiliary. Confucius' explanation of "Yi" is helpful to our understanding and sublimation of "Yi", and even thinks that "Yi Zhuan" written by Confucius has inserted wings for the study of Yi.

Confucius thought that the Book of Changes contained "ancient sayings", so he liked divination very much, and focused on "examining his righteousness" and upgraded the Book of Changes from a book of divination to a study of benevolence and righteousness that included the way of heaven and man.

What kind of book is Yi, so you can't go wrong after reading it? Zhu said: "After learning the Book of Changes, you will understand the principle of good and bad luck and the way to advance and retreat." The Book of Changes is regarded as the head of the group classics and the source of China culture.

The Book of Changes reveals the truth of life in the universe, the inevitable law hidden in accidental things, and the law of Yin-Yang and Five Elements hidden behind impermanence. The Book of Changes reveals a profound truth. Different people read the Book of Changes differently, whether to seek good fortune for the time being or to choose between good fortune and bad fortune from the source.

The Book of Changes has been divided into many schools since ancient times, but there are only two directions: one is for divination, seeking good fortune and avoiding evil spirits; The second is to know and understand the truth of life in the universe. The true connotation of the Book of Changes is the latter, while the former is only a by-product. Master You Yi said, "It's no big deal to learn the Book of Changes, but can't you learn the Book of Changes?" If you read Yi in poor years, but you are not widowed, can you call it learning Yi? "It means that people who have learned the Book of Changes and made fewer and fewer mistakes cannot say that they have learned the Book of Changes.

Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, which represent China's traditional culture, all believe that there are laws in the operation and change of the universe and life, that is, there are laws to follow behind the overlapping and complicated karma, whether it is heaven or humanity. This law, simple and easy to learn, is "mathematical theory", that is, "everything in the world has a number."

Confucius famously said in Yi Zhuan: "If you accumulate good, you will have Qing Yu, but if you accumulate bad, you will have many disasters." This is similar to what Buddhism says: "All evil should be done and all good should be pursued". However, "mathematical theory" is not bound by "number", but on the basis of understanding "mathematical theory", we should break away from the shackles of "yin and yang and five elements" that bind our own "destiny" and truly "seek for ourselves independently"

Having said that, we can uncover the secret and original intention of Confucius' saying that you can't make a big mistake when reading the Book of Changes. For the Book of Changes, we don't have to stick to reading before or after 50. The understanding and understanding of the Book of Changes is definitely different at different ages.

However, the Book of Changes reveals the principles that a person must follow in his life, and tells us a fundamental truth, that is, he has never committed or committed less crimes in his life, and that is, you should believe that heaven, the manifestation of heaven in people is human nature, the truth of cosmic life and its operating law. Its core is to warn people to fear heaven and earth and believe that good is rewarded with good and evil with evil. Not now, just not yet.

In modern society, we are troubled by immediate material, fame and fortune. And we can't see the truth of life in the universe, and we are not afraid of heaven and earth. I believe that "the world is bustling for profit, and the world is bustling for profit." When life goes well, you can get carried away and do whatever you want; If something goes wrong, ask God to ask ghosts, not yourself. The ancients said that there was a god who held his head three feet high. People are doing it, and the sky is watching. Confucius also warned us: "Stay away from ghosts and gods". Ghosts and gods can't help you if you don't work hard!

In a word, the Book of Changes reveals the law of fate, which we can follow to avoid misfortune. However, in order to avoid evil, we must believe in the result of good and evil. Every moment, you can be afraid, tread on thin ice, manage your heart, do more good deeds, and don't do bad things or evil things that violate the conscience of heaven and earth, so as not to let your heart leave. This is our life.
