What are the four elephants and gossip?

Divide yin and yang into two to generate four images (that is, there are four arrangements of long (yang) and short (yin) in gossip). These four images convey little information. The ancients found that four elephants were not enough, so they added them. If we divide them into two, we will have eight diagrams (dry, Kun, true, smoked, Kan, Li, Gen and Hui).
