Original text: Confucius said: The Taoist stands on his own feet, and when he cannot meet him, he can't help him, so the sage gives up without asking. Three years at any time, when I go, I go for three years, when I am in the back, when I go, I am neutral. Heaven has no relatives, and virtue has right and wrong. Happiness is not what you want, so you don't cut your work, and disaster is not yours, so you don't regret your behavior. The center is quiet, not tired of its virtue, barking calmly, confident in its feelings, sincere in its nature, so passers-by are not confused, and know life is not worried. When the emperor collapses, he hides in the wild, and his sacrifice is also enshrined in the hall. God is more valuable than form. Therefore, when God makes a shape, he must follow it. If the shape wins god, it will be poor. If wisdom is used, it is anti-god, which is called great harmony.

Note: Wen Zi believes that people who are committed to following the Tao should correct their inner feelings and behaviors, and wait for changes in external conditions. Don't be timid to meet them, don't catch up and try to pull them back. Therefore, when the sage should retreat, don't rush, and don't shrink when he should enter. Time is up, so follow the trend for a while and act together. Time is running out, so let's go with the flow. Time is running out. Let's go with the flow and stay behind it. No matter how the times change, I always go with the flow, not meeting first, not catching up later. I just remain neutral so that I can adapt to the situation at any time. The operation of heaven is not selfish, but moves with the place where virtue is located. Now that the blessing has come, it is not the credit I want day and night, and there is nothing to boast about. Since the disaster has occurred, it is not my fault, so there is nothing to regret. My heart is quiet and virtuous. Even if I hear something unexpected, my heart is stable and peaceful, and there is no delusion at all, so there is no need to be afraid. Therefore, people who know the way of heaven and earth will not be confused by foreign objects, and people who know the laws of world movement will not be troubled by short-term changes. An emperor died, and his bones were buried in the wilderness, and then he was sacrificed in the Mingtang in the city on time. This is a tribute to his lofty spirit, rather than taking the rigid body as the standard. Therefore, people whose mind can control their bodies can feel comfortable both inside and outside, and those whose bodies can control their minds will feel physically and mentally exhausted, and they can apply their wisdom and wisdom to their inner cultivation, thus returning to nature and nature. This is the realm of great harmony.

There is a saying: follow the trend at any time, be happy without harm, and be in harmony.

The love between heaven and earth, the change of the universe, the news is only shrinking. The movement of the universe, from large to small, from complex to simple, from order to disorder, is called elimination; From small to large, from simple to complex, from disorder to order, this is called interest; From low dimension to high dimension, from curling to stretching, from convergence to expansion, it is called surplus; From high dimension to low dimension, from stretching to curling, from expansion to convergence, it is called contraction.

Therefore, the sage goes with the flow, and his movements are well-founded, moving with the news, and advancing and retreating. Time waits for no one, spring and autumn wait for me, and the sun and moon wait for me. I know that it is not easy for me to be dark, so if I don't ask for it, I will have it. If I don't ask for it, I will have it. If I don't retreat, I will have it. So when the time comes, you can't refuse, so go find the deep bridge. A gentleman stops when he stops, but does what he does, not for the beginning of disaster, not for the beginning of happiness, not for wisdom, peace inside and outside, and no relatives in heaven, only for virtue. A gentleman in the Ming Dynasty, who can control the outside world, has both form and spirit, combines rigidity and softness, and knows men and women, so he can have the effect of great harmony.

The law and discipline of the Ming king are well-founded, and the internal and external order is orderly. Although it is not necessary to follow the trend, it also has a grand vision. His descendants did not enforce the law and stuck to it. They were confused by foreign things and lust. They built graves, hid gold and silver, built high temples and high platforms, sealed walls and treasured goods, thinking that the inheritance from generation to generation would make people laugh and be generous.
