Laba story
? There are many stories about this kind of Laba porridge: Buddha's sacrifice to the sun, Zhu Yuanzhang's recollection of bitter experience, the custom of "red beans playing ghosts", and folklore ... Among many stories, Xiaoyu chose the following three stories from the perspective of being suitable for children's psychology. Younger children are suitable for listening to the folk version, and older children are suitable for listening to the Buddhist version and Zhu Yuanzhang version.
In fact, the beauty of Laba porridge lies not only in its delicious taste, but also in its related Laba customs, such as ancestor worship, family reunion, making Laba garlic and so on. Because of these warm rituals, Laba porridge has a unique taste.
Once upon a time, there was a family of three: father, mother and son.
? Dad is the most hardworking. He gets up every day when the cock crows and goes to work in the fields at dawn. He said, "Hands are cash cows, paved with golden roads."
Mother is the most frugal, lives frugally, and sewed clothes are dense and good. She said: "There is no cornucopia in the world. Diligence makes people rich. "
? Their home, Man Cang's rice and noodles, flocks of chickens and ducks, melon and fruit racks.
But his family has a lazy son. This son goes to bed after eating all day, and his neighbors call him "sleepy".
? The old couple are getting old. Dad said to his son, "If you want to eat, you have to sweat. You should learn to grow crops, but you can't just sleep. "
The mother said to her son, "My parents can't stay with you forever. You can't live. What can you do when you are old? "
Who wants to marry such a person and a good girl? As a result, "Sleepy Boy" married a wife and was as lazy as him.
She goes to bed when the sun goes down. She can't get up in the morning and get up late. She can't even help when the oil bottle falls. Neighbors called her "a pot without a bottom".
A few years later, the old couple became seriously ill. They asked "sleepy" and "bottomless pot": "If you want to live a good life, you must be thrifty. Rice should be kept warm in time, the ground should be deeply cultivated and carefully weeded. " Soon the old couple died.
? "Sleepy" thought that the old couple would not enjoy happiness. He said to his wife, "Man Cang is a grain and Man Cang is a bean. Why do you have to be stupid and busy? "
? "bottomless pot" feels that life is quite good, don't worry. She said to her husband, "It is better to sleep than to weave."
Neither of them took the old man's words to heart. They sit in empty seats every day except eating, drinking and having fun. After several years, the land was barren and there was no food at home.
On the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month this year, the north wind blew "whirring" and snowflakes floated around, almost as big as a slap. "sleepy" and "bottomless pot" didn't eat or wear, crowded into the broken house, shivering.
"Trembling, trembling, I miss my mother's white bun." "Hey, sweep miscellaneous grains to make bowls of porridge." Miscellaneous grains were found at the bottom of the box, in the cracks in the granary, on the wall and in the mouse hole. Who knows that they just wanted to drink a bowl when a strong wind blew and the house collapsed.
According to this legend, every household should cook a pot of miscellaneous grains porridge and drink porridge for the holidays every year to remind themselves to cherish a better life.
(Zhu Yuanzhang recalls bitter thoughts and sweet thoughts)
Zhu Yuanzhang was the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, but when he was a child, his family was very poor and he often ate one meal without the next.
In order to reduce the family burden, Zhu Xiaoyuan Zhang had to go to the landlord's house to herd cattle.
? The landlord is very stingy. As long as the servant doesn't satisfy him a little, he scolds and hits.
Not only that, but he will also lock up people who make mistakes and not give them food.
Once the cattle came back, little Zhu Yuanzhang led the old buffalo across the wooden bridge. The bridge deck was very narrow, and the old buffalo fell off the bridge with one foot empty.
Xiao Zhu Yuanzhang was in a hurry. There is a ravine two or three meters deep under the bridge. He couldn't get the old buffalo to stand up at all.
The old buffalo called "Cleisthenes" in the ditch, so little Zhu Yuanzhang had to run back to the landlord's house to call someone.
Soon, the landlord came with people, and everyone had a great effort to help the old buffalo up.
At this time, people found the old buffalo lying motionless on the ground. It turned out that one of its legs was broken!
? "How do you herd cattle?" The landlord angrily picked up the whip and whipped it on little Zhu Yuanzhang.
After making a phone call, the landlord was still unconvinced, so he ordered his servant to lock Zhu Xiaoyuan Zhang up.
After Zhu Yuanzhang was put into the woodshed, he felt pain and fear and soon fell asleep. When the sun was high in the sky the next day, his stomach was already growling with hunger.
Little Zhu Yuanzhang searched for a long time in the woodshed, but he didn't find anything to eat. He sat on the ground sadly, tears pattering down.
Suddenly, a mouse jumped up from his feet and got into a hole in the corner. Small Zhu Yuanzhang a look carefully, hey, how is there a grain of rice at the mouth of the cave?
He picked up a stick and poked it into the hole. The mouse squeaked out and brought some food. Little Zhu Yuanzhang was so excited that he must be the granary of mice!
He tried to dig in, and sure enough, he took out rice, beans and red dates from it. ...
Little Zhu Yuanzhang quickly put away these grains and begged the old servant of the helper to cook them into a pot of porridge. Unexpectedly, this pot of miscellaneous porridge is very sweet and delicious!
? Later, when Zhu Yuanzhang became emperor, he somehow remembered this matter again, so he asked the chef to cook a pot of porridge of various grains and enjoy it with the ministers.
This day happened to be the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month, so Zhu Yuanzhang named this porridge "Laba porridge".
(Buddha Enlightenment Commemorative Edition)
More than 2500 years ago, there were many countries in ancient India. In the northeast of this country, there is a Kapilowei country by the Yokogawa River. The king's name is Fan Jing and the queen's name is Moya.
One day, while Mrs. Moyev was sleeping, she dreamed that a white elephant fell from the sky and entered her body from her right rib. She suddenly felt safe and happy and looked at herself like the sun and the moon. When she woke up, she went to see the king's sudden rice and told him what happened in her dream.
King suddhodana immediately called his ministers to ask the queen what her dream was, and a brahmin soothsayer replied, "This dream is very good! The queen is pregnant and will give birth to a prince. This prince is an eternal saint. He will be able to show the Sakyamuni family. King suddhodana will be very happy when he hears this.
Mrs. Moyev has been very healthy since she was pregnant with a white elephant.
Queen Maya was pregnant 10 months, and one day she led the ladies-in-waiting to wander around Lumbini Garden. It was early April, sunny and full of vitality. The garden is full of fragrant grass, birds and flowers, lush trees and fragrant lotus flowers, which is full of auspicious and festive atmosphere.
After visiting the garden for a week, Queen Maya rested in a carefree shade. When she saw the lush foliage, soft drooping, beautiful, fragrant and lovely flowers and fruits on the tree, she raised her hand to pick the flowers and fruits, and the prince was born.
Wang Zigang was born to talk and can walk without help. His eyes were everywhere, and he lifted his feet for seven steps, and a lotus appeared on the ground every step. At that time, the fragrant wind scattered, the flowers and rain were colorful, Yue Xian played harmoniously, and the gods kept pace with Sang Men. Er Quan naturally emerges from the ground, cold and warm, fragrant and clean.
King suddhodana was very happy when he got his son. He named him Siddhartha, which means that he had many strange auspicious meanings when he was born.
Only seven days after Sakyamuni was born, his mother, Empress Moya, died of illness. King suddhodana was sad for this, and it was even sadder to look back on the young prince. So he took Mohobotti, the sister of the Mayan queen, into the palace and entrusted her to raise the prince.
Mahaboboti is virtuous and kind. He regards Prince Siddhartha as his own and loves him very much. Prince Siddhartha was as clever as anyone else in his childhood. He is taken good care of by his aunt. When it is cold and warm, he eats moderately, is extremely healthy and develops rapidly. Like the Nikito tree, it grows fertile day by day.
Prince Siddhartha liked purity when he was young. He is very tired of the noisy life in the court and often wants to go out and enjoy the natural scenery.
One day, he rode a wheelbarrow from the east gate and saw a hunchbacked old man walking like an ant with a bamboo pole in his hand. Prince Siddhartha suddenly felt that life was old and bitter, and his heart was melancholy.
Another day, he came out of the south gate and saw a sallow, haggard, panting and moaning patient. Prince Siddhartha felt sorry for the patient and was particularly frightened.
Another day, when I was traveling from the west gate, I saw a dead man lying stiff, bleeding and smelly, and the whole family sent him away crying. Prince Siddhartha was deeply touched, frightened and depressed.
Another day, Prince Siddhartha went out to play in the north gate and saw a monk in a dome robe, handsome, energetic and distinguished. The monk told him the way to practice liberation. After listening to this, the prince made up his mind to give up wealth and enjoyment and deliberately practice in order to get rid of the pain of "old age", "illness" and "death".
Prince Siddhartha asked his parents to allow him to become a monk, but King Sudoku and Lady Mahabharata sobbed. He also asked his parents for four wishes: never getting old, never getting sick, never dying and never seeing each other again. Say you can fulfill four wishes and you won't become a monk. Hearing this, Sudoku King was very happy to know that he still wanted to become a monk.
In desperation, Sudoku King took great pains to build a palace full of flowers at three o'clock in spring, summer and autumn, adding all kinds of wonderful songs and dances to please the prince's eyes and ears, improve his vigilance and alert, and make him give up the idea of becoming a monk.
Sakyamuni was not moved by the pleasure of the five desires at all. Late at night on February 8, the moonlight was clear. He got up, stared at his sleeping wife Ye Lunda and son Luo Ziluo, silently said goodbye to them, and then left the room. He felt sad when he saw the ladies-in-waiting and the guards sleeping soundly, like wood and stones.
Prince Siddhartha bid farewell to his wife and children and woke up the groom to hide his horse. The prince rode on a white horse and climbed over the wall from the north gate, followed by Che Wei. According to Buddhist scriptures, at the beginning of the horse, the mountains shook, the four heavenly kings led the horse by the feet, and the Vatican released banners to lead the way.
When the prince left the city, he made an oath: "If I can't live or die, I won't go back to the palace;" If I don't become a monk, I will never see my father again; If I am not full of love, I will never see my aunt, wife and children again. "
So Prince Siddhartha and the groom hid in the car, rode step by step, and crossed Qingxi in the boundless darkness. At dawn, it has reached a hundred miles away and reached the depths of the dense forest by the Abami River, where the ancient pagoda practiced asceticism.
Prince Siddhartha was overjoyed to see that the forest was lush and quiet, so he ordered his car to hide and led his horse back to the palace. When the car refused, he sobbed and said, "The prince grew up in the palace and enjoyed honor. Now he is in the forest, accompanied by thorns, insects and wild animals. How can he stand so many difficulties and obstacles? " The prince replied, "You don't have to say much. You know, although I am in the palace, I can avoid tangible thorns and insects, but I can't avoid invisible thorns and insects. Now I am trying to get rid of old age and illness and get permanent and true happiness. "
Then Prince Siddhartha thought to himself. If you don't shave your hair, you will become a monk, that is, you will pull out the golden knife and cut off your hair, and swear: "Shave off your hair today and you will cut off all sentient beings." At this time, a hunter came, dressed in cassock, and the prince changed into a gorgeous dress, completely turning into a monk image.
When the groom saw that the scene was unknown, he knew that it was irreparable, so he had to lead the horse to say goodbye and find his way back to the palace.
After becoming a monk, Sakyamuni visited the master in many ways in order to find a way out. When he saw many men of practice, clothed in grass clothes, hungry without eating, stretched out their feet, lying in dust and thorns, worshiping the sun and the moon, or taking fire and water, he was greatly dissatisfied and knew that they were all heretics.
Later, Sakyamuni studied meditation with Alogya Rama and Yudogarama, who lived in seclusion in caves. The former teaches him to "follow the steps of meditation" and he can get an "empty kingdom"; The latter read to him "neither psychological nor psychological state".
So Sakyamuni sat cross-legged in the cave alone, looking quiet, in order to realize. When he went to Qiu Lai in the spring, he got nothing. Realizing that enlightenment was impossible, he changed his mind and decided to experience asceticism in order to get rid of it.
Sakyamuni came to the ascetic forest of Gaojia Mountain on the Nile and meditated alone under the tree. He has no shelter, no shelter from the wind and rain, no blinking, and no terror in his heart. He abandons everything, puts it down, or restricts his breathing, and his mind is confused, such as needles stabbing bones; Or press your tongue on your chin and sweat like a spring. It is said that it is because he has no distractions, abides by the precepts, and tastes the courage. Even in the first nest, there are eagles feeding their chicks and letting the feces pollute.
Sakyamuni has been ascetic alone for six years. At first, he ate a hemp and a wheat every day, and gradually he ate a hemp and a wheat on the seventh day, so he didn't drink or eat. Finally, his body became extremely thin, rubbing his chest and abdomen with his hands and touching his back.
One day, he suddenly realized that indulgence is not easy to get off the road, and there is no way for an ascetic to get on the road of consciousness, so he decided to eat again and rejoin the road of metaphysics.
? There are two cowherd girls, one named Nando and the other named Poirot, who often drive cows and put green grass by the ascetic forest. When I see cows at ordinary times, I bathe in the river, milk them, steam them into chyme, hold a bowl in front of him and offer them as sacrifices.
Sakyamuni accepted the offerings and made a wish, saying, "If you eat and drink today, you will live a long life." Take it immediately.
Since then, Sakyamuni has been offered chyle by shepherdess every day. After a month, I was strong and regained my former physical strength. He went to the Nielian River to take a bath and wash clothes, feeling cool and radiant.
After giving up the life of an ascetic monk, Sakyamuni came to what is now called Bodhgaya and sat down under a tall and dense Biboro tree. He made an oath: "If you don't achieve Buddha's fruit, you would rather break this body than bear this seat!"
? Sakyamuni meditated under the bodhi tree for forty-eight days, which was the seventh day of December. That night, the sky was clear and sunny. He sat silently on the throne of King Kong, showing various meditation realms, observing the infinite world of ten directions and everything in the past, present and future, and gaining insight into the cause and effect of the three realms. 1In the early morning of February 8, stars appeared in the sky. He suddenly realized that he had no avenue and became a Buddha with complete equal consciousness.
Since then, the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month, the day when Sakyamuni Buddha became a monk and became a Taoist, has become a grand anniversary of Buddhism, and Laba Festival has also come from this.
