If someone, whether a monk or nun, a Buddhist or a layman, calls himself the incarnation of Buddha and Bodhisattva, he either wants to gain fame by lying big and being respectful and arrogant, or he is possessed by ghosts and gods to show his differences and confuse people. Although they also have a certain proportion of efficacy, they are not helpful to the fortune of believers. Therefore, Buddhists who believe in Buddhism should not show this identity and should not trust people who show this phenomenon.

Judging from the history of Buddhism, only Buddha Sakyamuni is a Buddha, and there is no example of a second person claiming to be a Buddha. If you call yourself a Buddha, no matter what the Buddha is, it is a big lie. Otherwise, it is the phenomenon of ghosts and gods possessed. On the surface, they went to the streets to save people. In fact, they are confusing people and encouraging them not to make practical efforts, but to seek happiness.

As for the bodhisattva, the same is true. In history, Maitreya became a Buddha only when it was a Buddha, saying that it became the second Buddha in the world after 5.6 billion years. Others, such as Guanyin, Manjusri, Pu Xian and Dizang, are not historical figures, but great bodhisattvas introduced by the Buddha. If these self-proclaimed buddhas and bodhisattvas can tell your past, predict your future, and even know your historical background and predict your future development, don't be confused by them. Ghosts and gods have this kind of power, and if you practice dharma with spells, you will achieve this goal, but it is not magic power, but the result of magic power. The induction of ghosts and gods, or the dispatch of ghosts and gods, is at most a phenomenon of concentration. Therefore, such people may not be correct in talking about the future, and their understanding of the past will not be clearer than yours, and they will be more uncertain about the past. They don't even know how accurate they are. Because everything can't go against cause and effect, ghosts and gods can't help, and foreknowledge can't help, only change the cause and effect of good and evil; If it is not the great good and the great evil, we can't change our karma. As long as we do our best to do good and eliminate evil, do what the Buddha did, say what the Buddha said and learn from the Bodhisattva, our future destiny will be in our own hands.

Therefore, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in meditation and dreams often do not come from outside the heart.

Another spiritual phenomenon similar to that seen by psychics is that ghosts and gods appear in the image of Buddha and Bodhisattva or claim to be the voice of Buddha and Bodhisattva, and regard the illusion of light, shadow and sound as the manifestation of Buddha and Bodhisattva. Without correct Buddhist knowledge and correct Buddhist view, they are easily fooled by these ghosts and gods and become tools for ghosts and gods to show their spiritual strength.
