Lecture 1: Introduction to the Book of Changes.

The Book of Changes is "If you don't learn, you won't learn, and you will benefit for life."

The Book of Changes focuses on Xiu De's good deeds.

The Book of Changes includes righteousness and image number. Righteousness refers to the principle of treating people with things; Image number refers to the calculation law of divination, which is applied to divination in daily life.

In ancient times, I talked about five classics: poetry-literature, book-history, etiquette-life norms, music-art, Yijing-philosophy.

Philosophy is the love of wisdom, and wisdom has one characteristic: integrity and fundamentality. Therefore, we should not only look at people's world, but also look at nature, heaven, heaven and earth, and people. Look not only at the present, but also at the past and the future. So both space and time should be considered.

I ching includes three parts: I ching, I ching and I ching.

The great principle of the book of changes: observing the sky and establishing people. Heaven represents the rules of the universe and nature, and humanity refers to how the human world should survive.

Confucianism: People are kind and cautious. True Confucianism comes from the heart.

Taoism: weak is better than strong.

There is a philosophical school in the west that "man is the only animal that uses symbols".

The highest ideal of the Book of Changes is to take the initiative in one's own life, cultivate wisdom, develop ability and give consideration to virtue.

I ching hexagrams are divided into yin and yang, and there are stubborn and yang. Yang refers to the main force, but refers to being driven and acting as Yang, while Kun is Yin. A gentleman is good at self-improvement, and a gentleman is good at morality.

Five ways for ancient emperors to make decisions: 1, thinking for themselves. 2. Discuss with ministers or consultants. 3. Discuss with the people. 4. Use tortoise shells for divination. 5. Use the Book of Changes to help decision-making.

Heaven has no good or ill luck, because the sixty-four hexagrams constitute a cycle, and there is no difference between good and bad.

The two hexagrams occupied by Confucius in his life: the original (bi) hexagram, which represents decoration, has no practical significance; Travel divination: it represents a dynamic life, so Confucius gave up his official position and traveled around the world.

The principles of divination: insincerity, doubt and injustice.
