According to the description in Biography of Mao Ying, Mao Ying was born in Zhongshan. His ancestor was a rabbit, who helped Dayu control water and became a god after his death. Mao Ying has an extraordinary memory. From Dayu to Qin Shihuang, he wrote down in detail books on Yin and Yang, divination, physiognomy, medical treatment, alchemy, national surnames and a hundred schools of thought contend. Therefore, later generations took Heguan as their pen name.
