Zixi's life

Zixi (? ~ 479 BC): Ling Yin of Chu at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period. Mi surname, bear, man, word Shen, word Zixi. King Chu Ping's illegitimate son, the Zhao Chu brothers. In 5 16, after the death of King Chu Ping, Yin Zi often wanted to make him King Chu. Zi Xijian disagreed, but adopted the young Prince Jane as the king of Zhao Chu. In the fourth year of King Zhao of Chu (5 12), he fled to the State of Chu. Zhao Chu gave them a lot of land, arranged for them to live in Yang Yang (now southeast of Shenqiu, Henan Province), and built a city for them, making them enemies of He Lv, the king of Wu. Zixi thinks that after the profligacy of King Chu Ling and King Chu Ping, the people's livelihood in Chu is urgent at this time, and it is not appropriate to be an enemy of Wu. He thinks that this will only anger Wu and will not listen. Sure enough, the prince of Wu stepped up his attack on Chu, and Wu Zixu and Sun Wu used the former tactic of the State of Jin, Xun Ji, to attack Chu frequently, which made Chu exhausted. In the tenth year of King Zhao of Chu, Wu Jun broke Ying (now Jinan City, Jiangling, Hubei Province), and King Zhao of Chu fled. Zixi stayed near Ying to build a new capital, copied cars and costumes, and collected scattered military and political personnel from Chu to show that Chu was still alive. After learning that King Zhao of Chu was with him (now Suizhou City, Hubei Province), he quickly followed Zhao Haoqi with his country. The following year, Qin Aigong entered the State of Chu. Zixi led the Chu army to cooperate with Qin Jun in fighting in Han Dong, and defeated Wu Jun in Xiang Jun (now southwest of Suizhou) and Gong Mianxi (now east of Xiangfan, Hubei). Du Ying was appointed as Ling Yin, in charge of the military and political power of Chu. In the twenty-seventh year of King Zhao of Chu (489 BC), Wu attacked Chen (now Huaiyang, Henan). Chen was saved, but his divination was unlucky. He was determined to fight to the end and appointed him as his successor. He refused to accept it again. After Zhao Haoqi's death, his sons were King Chu and King Hui. Inadvertently recalled Bai Gong Sheng, who was demoted in Wu, and appointed him as a nest doctor; In 479, Zixi was killed by Bai.
