Some people say that Zhuge Liang's masters were Pang Degong and Si Mahui.

Pang Degong was a great hermit. Liu Biao came to him for help several times, but Pang Degong couldn't get away with it. Later, Pang Degong also took his wife and children to Lumen Mountain to collect herbs, and never knew where he went.

Pang Degong is famous mainly because he rejected Liu Biao and lived in seclusion in the mountains. In the eyes of the ancients, hermits were all hidden people. However, we really don't know Pang Degong's skill, because he has no practical cases and left no works.

Although we don't know the real level of Pang Degong, his cultural level is first-class. At that time, it was accurate to evaluate Zhuge Liang as "Wolong" and Pang Tong as "Feng Chu". Since he has such a level of knowledge, I believe his own ability should not be bad.

Si Mahui is not a hermit, but he is not keen on being an official. He is a semi-hermit. Liu Biao heard his name and went to visit him, trying to recruit him for his own use. Si Mahui is cleverer than Pang Degong. Pang Degong just showed that he didn't want to be an official. Si Mahui played dumb in front of Liu Biao, so that Liu Biao met Si Mahui and said, "People all over the world are talking nonsense. This little scholar has ears, so do those who are wise and able to be stupid. " In other words, people all over the world like to tell lies. This Si Mahui is just a scholar, and his wisdom is similar to that of ordinary people.

But Si Mahui is really a talent, at least all the people in Jingzhou say so. In addition, Si Mahui worked as a teacher and taught many people. Finally, Zhuge Liang and Pang Tong were recommended to Liu Bei by Si Mahui.

However, there is no record in history that Zhuge Liang was a student of Pang Degong and Si Mahui. Pang Degong doesn't teach. Although Si Mahui taught books, in history, he only said that Liu Lian and Xiang Lang were students of Si Mahui, but did not say that Zhuge Liang was his student. If Zhuge Liang is really his student, he will definitely write it down in history.

So it is obviously unreasonable to say that Zhuge Liang's teachers are Pang Degong and Si Mahui.
