What is Oracle?

In the divination of Yin people, the names of diviners, divination problems, divination dates and results are often engraved on the tortoise shells or animal bones used, and occasionally a few notes related to divination are engraved. The words recorded in this way are generally called oracles.

Oracle Bone Inscriptions, also known as the divination document, is a brief record of the divination time of the Shang royal family on the tortoise shell bone. These Oracle Bone Inscriptions, ranging from a few words to more than a hundred words, recorded the contents and results of divination at that time, mostly asking questions about state affairs and kings.

It is also clear evidence that Wu Zhu spoke on behalf of ghosts and gods to guide the monarch to issue orders and rule.
