The meaning of heaven endows divine power and makes it an equality.

God has endowed it with divine power, and the significance of making it a noble is as follows:

The five mountains are three fairs, four mountains are a ring, and Songshan is in the middle. Hengshan Mountain is located in a remote place, and there are many monsters. God authorized Nanyue God to be the supreme power. Halfway up the mountain, it is foggy, although there are spires to climb to the top.

3. Significance

The emperor used the highest etiquette to incense the five mountains. The four directions were Mount Tai, Huashan, Hengshan and Hengshan, with Songshan in the middle. Chi Di, the god of fire, lived in many wild mountains and monsters. God gave him power and made him a hero in the south. Smoke covered most of the mountain. Who can climb the highest peak through the clouds?

4. Appreciation of the whole poem

In the 19th year of Zhenyuan (803), there was a drought in both capital city and famine everywhere. Han Yu wrote to the emperor, asking him to forgive the people. He offended Tang Dezong and powerful people and was demoted to Yangshan (now Qingyuan, Guangdong) in Lianzhou. In the year of Yong Zhenyuan (805), he was pardoned and left Yangshan for Chenzhou (now Chen County, Hunan Province). In September, I joined the army from Chenzhou to Jiangling Prefecture (now Jiangling, Hubei Province) and wrote this poem when I visited Hengshan on the way.

The poet expressed his deep affection by looking up at the peaks in Heng Yue, paying homage to the temple gods in Heng Yue, the good or bad fortune of divination, and staying in the high temple. On the one hand, he was glad that he finally returned to the north alive in the wild land, on the other hand, he expressed his disappointment and protest against state affairs and his anger at his "handsome words" and bumpy career.

The first six sentences are from the big picture, describing the situation and weather in Heng Yue, with extraordinary words. First of all, I always describe the five mountains, saying that the five mountains are equivalent to the "three public" with the highest level. Four mountains, east, west, north and south, surround the town, and Zhongyue Songshan stands tall among them.

Later, it was used in Heng Yue, because Heng Yue is located in the south, which is hot and barren. The ancients thought there were many monsters here. The Emperor of Heaven authorized Heng Yue to be the King of God, making him a hero, just like a general guarding the border, which was related to the peril of the country and highlighted the special position of Hengshan.

And its authority, its towering and precipitous, hinted at the reason of the poet's trip-he wanted to shock those evil and treacherous men with a healthy atmosphere, but the official was weak. I hate that I have no power, but I am subject to others. Now I worship Heng Yue, and I want to use the majesty of Heng Yue to vent this resentment.
