Don't use the wisdom in the Book of Changes to dive the dragon.

Gangua is the first divination in Yijing. Dry represents heaven and Kun represents earth, so we say that dry Kun is heaven and earth. Each hexagram has six hexagrams, and the Book of Changes has sixty-four hexagrams, so there are 384 hexagrams; There is yin and yang, and we call it nine as yang and six as yin. Because the first one is yang, we call it the ninth day. What on earth is divination talking about on the ninth day? Does this mean anything to people today? What kind of wisdom does it contain? Keep these questions in mind first.

"Nine days without diving the dragon" is the original text of the first hexagram. It probably means hidden dragon. Don't move. The dragon here is symbolic, but it is not a real dragon here. When we encounter this trick in divination, we know that we can't act rashly at this time. So why did the ninth day of divination tell us not to move? In fact, the reason is very simple. Usually, when things are born, the energy is relatively small and fragile. If they want to be strong, they can only develop slowly. This is similar to what Lao Tzu warned us in the Tao Te Ching. He said: "I don't know what is normal, I am reckless, I am fierce." In fact, he told us that we must master the basic laws of the operation and development of things, and we must not mess around in doing anything, otherwise there will only be one result, and that is intense. What is a hidden dragon? It's like you just entered a company. To everyone, you are just a newcomer. Newcomers usually have no right to speak, because when you are in a new environment, you can't fully understand many things. At this time, if you want to show it, you will usually be suppressed by others and you can only ask for it. In real life, many people suffer a lot because they don't know the truth of not using hidden dragons. Don't use the hidden dragon. This does not mean that you are not allowed to show it. People have the ability to show it. Otherwise, how will your leaders and colleagues know that you are capable? If you have no ability, you will definitely leave sooner or later. So the slogan of the ninth day of divination is to tell you that you can show it, but wait until the time is ripe. If the wrong understanding of never using a hidden dragon means never showing or moving, it completely deviates from the image of divination that "Heaven is strong and gentlemen are constantly striving for self-improvement". Confucius' explanation of this sentence is really wonderful! He said, "Hermits are dragons, too. It is not easy to live in the world, not famous, not boring to live in the world, and not boring to see anything. Do it if you are happy, and violate it if you are worried. If you can't pull it out, the dragon will hide. " Confucius means that this is a metaphor for a person who is virtuous, talented and withdrawn like a dragon. This kind of person can't change his moral integrity, he doesn't pursue fame, he doesn't feel depressed, he doesn't feel isolated, he doesn't feel recognized by others. When you can realize your ambition happily, you will join the WTO; When you can only lead to sadness and fail to realize your ambition, you will hide and disappear. He has the basic principle of foothold in the world, and his mindfulness is firm and unshakable. Only in this way can he be called a hidden dragon. This is the general meaning of Confucius' original words. It is remarkable that a person can do it without having to be in such a position on the ninth day of divination.

There are four explanations for the sentence "Don't use hidden dragons" in Classical Chinese Biography. If you add the explanation in Biography of the Elephant, there are five explanations, all of which explain the profound meaning of the sentence from different angles. So, don't look at it easily. Xiang Zhuan, written on the 9th day of Gangua, said that "Yang is also in the next". As we all know, the ninth day was at the bottom of the melon. Is "The Legend of Incense" just a simple explanation of the position of nine days? If so, what's the point of biography? In fact, there is a profound meaning in this. Yang represents an initial vitality here, with the characteristics of striving for progress. Each hexagram has six hexagrams, the bottom two hexagrams represent the tunnel, the middle two hexagrams represent humanity, and the top two hexagrams represent heaven, which is a common view of hexagrams in Zhouyi. Gangua was at the bottom of the tunnel for nine days, so Xiang Zhuan said that "Yang is at the bottom". At this time, no matter how hard you try to make progress, it will be of no help. This tells us that we must know where you are, and your specific time and space limit you. So Confucius told us that if we are not in office, we will not seek politics. What you can do is within your power. What we can't control is fate. Don't say that fate is superstition as soon as you hear it, and what is fate conclusion! That is, people who don't understand are talking nonsense, and finally others don't understand. Confucius said that at the age of 50, you know your destiny, which means that when you reach the age of 50, you should know what you are doing in your life and what your direction is. Otherwise it will be in vain. From the ninth day of the Biography of the Elephant, we have to admire Kong's high wisdom, and at the same time, we are deeply inspired.

In short, don't use the hidden dragon, not without it, but for better use in the future. Just like in the workplace, if you don't have enough status and ability, you won't show it easily. If you dare to show it, someone will dare to embarrass you and let you bring yourself some unnecessary trouble. Understand the truth that you don't need to dive the dragon, you will clearly know where you are, and you will adjust yourself reasonably. If you develop slowly, you will go up smoothly along the dry divination. This is a natural thing. Therefore, the ancients said: "Those who are good and easy do not anticipate." You know this truth. Push according to this principle, and you will know the result. Where do you need divination? It can be seen that it is very important to truly understand the profound meaning of hexagrams. So we can't underestimate the words "don't use hidden dragons".
