What are the duties and work of the Mayan Religious Priests?

The Mayans had a full-time religious priest group, which was mainly responsible for festival etiquette, sacraments, divination and prophecy. They read scriptures in daily life, give advice to the nobles, and answer and explain some questions raised by the nobles. They also train some young priests, teach them all kinds of knowledge and etiquette, stipulate their duties, and educate them how to be role models, and then send them to some small towns to host sacrifices.
