What time is noon and Shenchu?
After the Song Dynasty, each of the twelve hours was divided into two parts: the first minute and the right minute, and so was the twenty-four hours on the same day. In ancient China, a day was divided into 12 hours, and each hour was about 2 hours. This time division method originated from China traditional culture and played an important role in divination, agriculture and cultural activities. Every moment has a specific name and corresponding time range, such as: 23: 00 ~ 1: 00, ugly 1: 00 ~ 3: 00, cloudy: 3: 00 ~ 5: 00, gross: 5: 00 ~ 7: 00, and Chen: 7. No: 13: 00 ~ 15: 00, Shen: 15: 00 ~ 17: 00, unitary; 17: 00 ~ 19: 00, Xu: 19: 00 ~ 2 1: 00, Hai: 2 1: 00 ~ 23: 00. This time system reflects the ancient people's precise concept and attention to time, and also reflects the unique understanding of time in China's traditional culture.
