"Because of his mother's spleen disease, Danxi Weng also studied medicine in general. After listening to Xu Wenyi's words, he said generously: "If a scholar is proficient in a skill and uses it to promote benevolent policies that benefit all things, even if he is not an official on earth, it is just like being an official. Don't make friends if it's inappropriate, and don't talk if you don't care. I like to talk about the gains and losses of encouragement, and I often express my passion for worrying about the world. Famous dignitaries often condescend to ask him for advice modestly, and Danxi Weng frankly explained to them the way of governing the country and reassuring the people without any scruples. But when it comes to fame and fortune, I get up and leave angrily. When dealing with people, we should take the three cardinal principles and the five permanents as the criteria for breaking off or getting close. Some people say that when the world follows benevolence, then people's character is as solid, simple and noble as the lush branches and leaves according to the trunk; When human nature is lost in the world, people's speech is like branches and leaves without trunk, lacking foundation, empty and beautiful. Character is the foundation of being a man; Speech is something derived from it. If you hear false statements and see the behavior of abandoning the fundamentals and pursuing fame and fortune, you will be angry as if you are about to be defiled. Dan Xi Weng is so excellent that practicing medicine is only one aspect.
