According to the Great Compassion Sutra, those who recite the Great Compassion Sutra can avoid fifteen kinds of malignant deaths such as hunger and cruelty to animals, gain fifteen kinds of beautiful life such as family harmony and abundant food and clothing, or cure various diseases, insect poisons, dystocia and stillbirth. The "Thousand Eyes and Thousand Arms Divine Curses" says that it has the advantages of prolonging life, eliminating sin and prostitution, and changing women's health. "Thousand-handed Guanyin Treating Diseases and Combined Drugs Classic" also says that it can cure various diseases, insect poisons and so on. , and said the method of husband and wife harmony.

The Great Compassion says that this statue includes 28 family members of the dharma protector, including King Kong Lux. This is called the Twenty-eight Schools of Avalokitesvara with Thousand Hands, and its image and mantras are listed in Avalokitesvara with Thousand Hands. Of all the gods in the Lotus Sect (or Guanyin Sect, one of the five schools of tantric Vajrayana, or one of the three schools of fetal Tibetan), this one is the highest. There are different images of Guanyin with thousands of hands and eyes in the classics, and there are thousands of hands and arms made of gold; There is a man, golden in color, sitting on a red lotus with eleven faces and forty hands. The first three faces are bodhisattvas, the first three faces are white, the left three faces are angry, the last one smiles fiercely, and the top one is Buddha. People with gold have thousands of arms and eyes and 500 faces. In tantric Buddhism, the mandala in the fetal Tibetan world is 27,000 arms, sitting on a lotus, with 40 (or 42) arms holding a staff in thousands of hands. In addition, according to the thousand eyes, you can see the Secret Sutra of Bodhisattva. The thousand-hand system means that there are forty hands, and each hand has 25 degrees. Therefore, the thousand-arm system is not necessary, but there are forty hands, which is the expression of Guanyin Bodhisattva's broad compassion, so it is called the thousand-arm system. Moreover, the method of merit achievement and the seal words represented by each hand are different with each oath.

Its one thousand eyes are tied in the palm of one thousand hands, and each hand has only one eye. However, if you have forty hands, you only have forty eyes. According to Dalagni's Classic of Great Compassion, the things held by these 40 hands or their palms are: Shi Wuwei, Rimani, Moon Mani, Bao Bow, Bao Arrow, Military Commander (Bottle), Bai Fu, Bao Aquarius, Pang Pai, Yue Axe, Bao Staff, Several Beads, Sword and King Kong. Or add lotus flowers to the middle seal to make 42 arms.

According to the related scripture records, Guanyin Bodhisattva can realize many wonderful things when practicing: from one to three, eleven, twenty-seven, fifty-one, one hundred and eight, five hundred, one thousand, ten thousand, even countless; Its purpose can be achieved from the second order to the third order, 108 order, 1000 order, or even countless; Services can also be changed from two to four, eight, twelve, forty-two, one hundred and eight, five hundred, one thousand, ten thousand or even countless. Therefore, thousands of eyes do not refer to real numbers, but a very large number. That is to show that Guanyin has great and omnipotent power. A thousand eyes mean infinite wisdom, and a thousand hands mean infinite magic. Looking at the world with thousands of pairs of eyes, you can see all kinds of hardships; Thousands of hands can be saved, and ten thousand people can be saved. In today's words, a thousand pairs of eyes are clear, and there is nothing that cannot be seen through; Thousands of hands are practice, and nothing is impossible. When knowledge and practice are integrated, there will be unparalleled power.
