Introduction to Ye Fashan

Ye Fashan (6 16-720) was born in Kuocang (now Lishui, Zhejiang Province) in the Tang Dynasty. He has been a monk since he was a child, and his family has been a Taoist for five generations. He learned the secret method from home, taught yin and yang divination, spells, hated the disintegration of ghosts and gods, and treated diseases. Repeated practice of Taoism among the people is very effective. After Tang Gaozong, Wuhou, and Zhongzong Dynasty, he was called into the Forbidden City for many times, set up altars and shrines, and urged to destroy the Buddha. In the second year (7 13), Zong Rui was made King of Yue. Worship Hongyan and be the master of the fine dragon. Song Huizong Zhenghe was awarded the title of "Imagination Master" in the first month of the sixth year (116). In June of the second year of Xuanhe (1 120), it was named "the spirit is empty and the reality is flat".
