Sanglin's soup is a prayer to Sanglin.

At the beginning of the Tang dynasty's accession to the throne, the capital of Shang dynasty suffered from drought for five years in a row, the sun was like fire, the rivers and wells dried up, the fields became soft-shelled, and the grasslands withered. Tang ordered the historian to burn the salary accumulated in the suburbs and sacrifice cattle and sheep to God. When Tang prayed, he blamed himself, listed six mistakes he might make, and prayed to God for rain, but it was useless. When the drought lasted until the seventh year, Tang built an altar in the mulberry field to pray for rain. After divination, historians say that it will rain only if the living sacrifice. Tang believes that begging for rain is for the people, how can it harm the people? I decided to sacrifice myself. He cut off his hair and nails, bathed himself and prayed to heaven: "I am guilty alone, and I can't punish everyone." All people are guilty. Don't hurt the villagers' lives because of my own fault! After praying, he sat on the pyre. Just as Wu Zhu was preparing to make a fire, the heavy rain suddenly came, and everyone cheered and praised the virtue of raising soup. This piece of music was named Sanglin, also known as Da, and later called Tang Le.

Theory of human origin

Human beings were created by the Yellow Emperor and then endowed with five senses of limbs by other gods, such as Pian and Sanglin. See the chapter in Huainanzi: "The Yellow Emperor gives birth to yin and yang, while the Pian gives birth to ears, and the Mulberry gives birth to arms and hands ..." This statement is very interesting, and it is similar to what the Germans said. Unfortunately, what kind of gods are Pian and Sanglin? They are not described in other ancient books, leaving only a mystery.
