What is a shaman? Is it a wizard? Still different?

Shaman is a kind of wizard or priest in a series of primitive religious systems, and has different names in different cultures. They are usually regarded as people connected with the spiritual world, guiding and controlling natural forces through channeling, healing, praying for rain and offering sacrifices. In some areas, especially in the indigenous areas of North Asia, North America and South America, shaman is usually a mysterious or sacred figure, regarded as a medium of communication with gods, with super powers and sacred power. In contrast, wizards in some parts of Europe and Africa are often associated with negative images such as dark magic or cults, and are often regarded as representatives of demons and evil. Therefore, although there are some similarities between shaman and wizard, they are quite different due to regional and cultural factors.
