What is the French king? Brief introduction of French king

The word "Dharma King" (dharmarājan in Sanskrit and dhammarājā in Pali) was first used on Buddhist Sakyamuni, and it was one of the names that monks paid tribute to him after he became a Buddha. In modern times, the word "French king" will also be regarded as a respectful name for Rinpoche, a Buddhist.

There are many such records in the Chinese translation of Buddhist scriptures, for example, in Ode to Victory, "Surrender the mind is too evil, be in harmony with the body, and be the king of manners and laws", in which "king of law" refers to the Buddha, and "king" refers to the meaning that the Buddha is free from all constraints and exists in the law. In the classic Mahayana Buddhism, the Buddha is regarded as the "king of France" and the bodhisattvas as the "king of France".

In Buddhism, in addition to honoring the enlightened Buddha as the "King of Dharma", there are two other identities called "King of Dharma", namely, the "King of Falun" who pursues ten virtues and governs the world through Buddhism, and the "Devil" who is selfless and governs the criminals in hell. Any monarch who governs the country and promotes the development of Buddhism will be regarded as the king of France, which may be similar to the image of the wheel saint king described in ancient books. However, there are two kinds of monarchs known as French kings in history, one is ratified by later generations and the other is self-styled. The former is like Ashoka (A? Buddhism developed well during the reign of Oka Peacock (about 304 BC-232 BC) and Kanishka (A.D. 127-A.D. 15 1 year) of Guishuang Dynasty in Dayue country. The latter, such as Zhu Houzhao (1491-1521), the emperor of the Ming Dynasty, called himself the "King of the Qing Dynasty". The word "Yan" comes from the Yijing (AD 635-AD 7 13) and Xuanzang (AD 602-AD 664) which translated the Pharmacologist's Classic. Yamaraja is commonly known as Yan Luowang in China, which means Ping Wang or Shuang Wang in translation.

In * * * Buddhism, the "French king" mainly refers to the three sages who introduced Buddhism to Tibet, namely, Songzan Gambu (6 17-6 15), Songdezan (742 BC-797 AD) and khri-gtsug-lde-btsan (802-802 AD). Songzan Gambo introduced foreign culture into Tubo, established various laws and regulations for the local area, and laid the foundation for the post-* * * development. During Song Dezan's reign, the Tubo Dynasty was a powerful kingship in Asia, which controlled a vast territory and was unique in Tibetan history. In addition, Song Dezan designated Buddhism as the state religion of Tibet, which had a far-reaching impact on the development of Buddhism. After khri-gtsug-lde-btsan succeeded Zhao Desong Zan to the throne, he further praised Buddhism. Besides relying on Buddhists and monks politically, he also built a large number of Buddhist temples to support monks.

Since the Yuan Dynasty, the French king has also become the title of * * * Lama. On the occasion of Yuan Shizu's accession to the throne (12 15- 1294), Basiba of Sakya School was named "King of Dabao", and later it was in the period of the Ming Dynasty (Judy, 1360- 1424). Later, in the Ming Dynasty, the Kagyu Sect and the Gelugpa Sect were also named Mahayana King and Mercy King respectively, while the Ma Ning Sect had King Pino, whose costumes were the same as those of ordinary monks.
