Five Legends about Vulcan Zhu Rong

Legend and myth The ancient emperor Zhu Rong was called the Vulcan Chi Di, and later generations respectfully called him Vulcan. Some people say that Zhu Rong is one of the three emperors, five emperors and Huang San in ancient times. He lives in Guangming Palace, Kunlun Mountain, inheriting kindling and teaching people to use fire. Speaking of the establishment of Nanhai Temple, people will naturally ask the name of Nanhai God. The God of the South China Sea is called Zhu Rong, and some historical books call it Zhu Chi, which is short for Zhu Rong and Chi Di. In fact, Zhu Rong and Chi Di are the same person. Zhu Rong was originally a Vulcan. Once a fire broke out today, people thought Zhu Rong had come. Who the hell is Zhu Rong? How did he combine water and fire into one god? There are many legends here.

Legend 1: Zhu Rong was the emperor of China. He uses fire to make chemistry. His name is Chi Di. According to legend, Zhu Rong is still a musician. He often plays melodious and touching music in the mountains, which makes the Li people full of vitality and love life. After Zhu Rong's death, he was buried in the sunshine of Mount Hengshan in Nanyue. In order to commemorate him, later generations called the highest peak of Nanyue Mountain Zhurong Peak.

Legend 2: During the reign of Di Ku in ancient times, there was a man named Chongli, the son of Zhuan Xu, whose official position was meritorious, that is, a meritorious official. Jong Li is devoted to his duties and strives to serve the Li people. When Di Ku became a fireman, he was awarded the title of Zhu Rong. Hope means eternity, and melting is a symbol of light. In other words, I hope that Chongli will continue to illuminate the earth with fire and bring people light forever. Zhu Rong was buried in the south peak of Shunmiao Temple in Hengshan Mountain, Nanyue, and now lives under Zhu Rongfeng.

Legend 3: In the era of the Yellow Emperor, when the Yellow Emperor traveled to the south and could not tell the direction, he asked Zhu Rong to tell the south. In other words, Hengyang Nanyue was first distinguished by Zhu Rong, so it occupied the position of Stuart. Later, Zhu Rong was sealed in Chu State and became the ancestor of Chu people. There is also a Zhurong Temple on the top of Zhurong Peak in Nanyue, Hengyang. There is a stone fence on the rock behind the temple, and you can enjoy the scenery of Beishan. How can this Vulcan, the ancestor of the Chu people, Zhu Rong play Poseidon at the same time? The ancients said that the south belongs to fire, fire is a symbol of light, and the root of fire is water. Therefore, I hope to combine water and fire into one, which is consistent with the divination of Zhou Wenwang's eight diagrams, that is, water belongs to fire and is located in the south.

Legend 4: During the Yaodi period, the Li people lived in dire straits because of flooding. Yao Di ordered a gun to control water. Nine years later, nothing was found. Later, I learned that there is a kind of treasure in the sky called interesting soil. If I throw a little into the soil, it will soon grow up and pile up into mountains and dams, so I try to steal interesting soil from the sky to the world. Use it to stop the flood, and the earth finally can't see the flood. But on that day, the emperor knew that the land of interests had been stolen, so he sent Zhu Rong and Vulcan to kill the shrew of Yushan and recapture the rest of the land of interests. The Emperor of Heaven also ordered Zhu Rong to supervise the world's water conservancy and put him in charge of the water side. Because Zhu Rong is the God of the South, and he is the God of the South China Sea.

Legend 5: The North Water King fought with Zhu Rong, the god of fire, and was killed by Zhu Rong's true fire. From then on, Zhu Rong became the god of fire and water.
