So, do you really know what Cthulhu is?

Cthulhu is one of the famous old dominators in the myth created by Lovecraft. He is famous for his octopus-like image and the fact that the British Empty Ear Party heard that empty ears always send sugar. Regarding the Cthulhu myth, I think Lovecraft's Cthulhu myth only puts forward a concept and outline. Reasons for the Rise of Cthulhu Myth

Myths and legends are ancient people's explanations of unknown things, such as Lei Gong Dian Mu and Qu Yuan's Tian Wen. The myth of Cthulhu represents modern people's re-understanding of their own existence and their rebellion against the omnipotence of science and technology. Macroscopically, Cthulhu's creation is an inevitable trend of thought.

Cthulhu's worldview is a fantasy from the perspective of scientific and rational exploration, not a romantic epic story, which gives readers the feeling of coldness and darkness. Different from fantasy fairy tales, the contact between God and people is usually romantic, bizarre and mysterious, while the myth of Cthulhu is tenacious, contemptuous and tyrannical. This is why all the evil gods exist in the Cthulhu myth written by Lovecraft himself. In my opinion, evil spirits are not really evil in nature (although they may be evil in nature), but from a human point of view, they will be evil. Because of the great differences in life forms and levels, God's attitude towards people can be imagined. Do you feel sorry for stepping on an ant? Maybe you don't even know if you stepped on an ant.

From this perspective, we can also infer why human beings become ignorant and even crazy when facing the old dominator. When ants living in a two-dimensional world see a three-dimensional human world, will two-dimensional creatures understand three-dimensional creatures? This is beyond its cognition, so the whole Cthulhu universe is dark and can't see the light. Generally speaking, God is just a creature that is more advanced than ordinary human beings in life form, but it is impossible to explore with the level of human science and technology. The more you read the myth of Cthulhu, the more you will feel that ignorance is really a kind of happiness. Different from the followers of human society, the followers of the old rulers are more divided or created by the old rulers themselves, and these followers are also called mythical creatures.
