It's not necessary. Geomantic omen is based on the three theoretical systems of Hutuluo Yijing. As an academic, its essence is not necessarily related to religion. If there must be a relationship, it should be closer to Taoism. On the other hand, it doesn't conflict with whether you believe in Buddhism or not, so you can choose to believe in Buddhism and pay attention to the adjustment of Yin and Yang, or you should adhere to the idea of purity and inaction of Buddhism and ignore Yin and Yang.
