Who first invented the American script?

The Mayans were the first people to invent writing on the American continent. They believe that writing was created by the sun god. In essence, words are sacred. Around A.D., in many big city-states in the northeast of Lake Biden Ithaca, the Mayans created hieroglyphics, which is an ancient Mayan language. It consists of many symbols and figures, including scales and notes. A * * * has more than 800 symbols (including more than 400 basic symbols), and these symbols make up more than 30,000 words. The famous Copan hieroglyphic staircase site has a slope of 60 meters long, 63 steps, a height of 26 meters and a width of about 9 meters. Each step is engraved with hieroglyphics, and there are more than 2,500 steps in total. As a precious cultural relic, this is the treasure house of Mayan characters with the most hieroglyphs in all Mayan sites.

Mayan hieroglyphs also preserved many Mayan characters in some stone pillars, stone tablets and inscriptions. These words are different from the fonts in the manuscript, and they are all carved with special stone tablets. In the existing Mayan manuscripts, words are often juxtaposed with color pictures, and each sentence is accompanied by pictures to explain the words. These words are generally written in oval boxes, that is, there are phonetic symbols and ideographic symbols, and their arrangement is generally from top to bottom or from left to right. There are also "face shapes", which only depict the side of the head, or the parts of the appliance and the human body, such as arms with different postures.

From 328 AD, the Mayans set up a stone pillar to record it every 20 years until 889 AD. Some scholars study it because the Mayans invented "paper". This kind of paper is very thick, about 2 mm, and the raw material is bark. First, people peel off the skin of figs, beat them with a hammer, then soak them in water to make them soft, squeeze them dry, and finally flatten them. This is paper on which people can write.

Maya used this paper to make books. Books are usually about 8 inches long and 6 inches wide. They are folded and the whole book is opened, which is several meters long. This book was written by a full-time pastor in five colors: red, blue, yellow, green and black. Finally, add a kind of thin wood chips on the upper and lower sides of the book as the cover, which is considered as a bound book. The Mayans regarded books as sacred objects, which were mainly circulated among priests. Therefore, Mayan writings, books and writings have a lot to do with priests.

There are only four documents in Maya's book: Dresden literature, Madrid literature, Paris literature and Houriet literature. The rest, after the Spanish colonists invaded, were burned to death by the Catholic Church as "heresies".

Dresden literature is a monograph of astronomy and a record of astrology and religious ceremonies. The book ***78 pages, about 3.6 meters long, was kept in the hands of a private person in Vienna, and was purchased by the bibliophile Ike Gechai on 1739; Madrid Literature is a book about divination ceremony, which is the largest of the four books. The book *** 1 12 pages, about 7.3 meters long; Paris literature mainly records divination and religious ceremonies, as well as the predictions about the cycle of "century" and "generation" in the Mayan calendar. There are only 22 pages left, which are1.5m long and incomplete. This book was originally stored in the Paris Library. It was discovered by the famous French scholar audubon Nye in 1859 and first published in 1872. The Houriet document is even more incomplete, and the beginning and end are lost. The book only has 12 pages, which was made public by American archaeologist Deco on 1972, and is now in the private collection of new york.
