How to degauss a six-inch coin

Six-inch coins are props for divination, usually made of iron, copper or other metals. If coins are magnetized due to long-term use, the following methods can be adopted for demagnetization:

1. Use the gesture method: put the coin in the palm of your hand and use the friction and heat of your fingers to help eliminate the magnetization. Rub the coin back and forth with your fingers dozens of times along the edge or circumference of the coin, and then put the coin on a flat place for several minutes.

2. Use the magnetic field method: put the coin on a plane perpendicular to the earth's magnetic field, such as on a table or outside the body. This will expose the coin to a magnetic field and help it gradually demagnetize. Exposure time lasting several hours or even days may help to eliminate magnetization.

3. Using electromagnetic method: insert coins into a copper or iron container with constant temperature and humidity, and apply current through an external power supply to make the electric field and magnetic field in the container interact. This method can demagnetize coins by changing the direction and intensity of magnetic field, but attention should be paid to the safe use of current.

It should be noted that these methods are only common degaussing methods, and cannot guarantee the successful degaussing of 100%. If the above methods can't solve the problem, or the magnetization of coins has a great influence on the divination results, it is suggested to replace new coins or use other more suitable divination tools.
