Zhu Yu Jiuding

Ding is a ritual vessel, which originated in Ding Tao in the Stone Age. Later, he was granted kingship and became a pledge of the country. According to legend, Yu Zhu is a master of Kunwu, and he is known as a beautiful talk.

"History of Han Dynasty, Records of Suburb Sacrifice" records: "Emperors of past dynasties preached divinity, and the one was unified, so was everything in the world. The Yellow Emperor is a tripod with three treasures, like heaven, earth and people. Jade collects the gold of Jiumu and casts Jiuding, such as Kyushu. " In ancient times, Zhu Yu's Nine Ding was the most famous of the Three Ding Castings, which was confirmed and recognized by all previous dynasties.

Zhu Yujiu Ding is also called Zhu Qi Jiuding. Whether it is a tripod or a tripod, casting a tripod should be the common wish of their father and son. After Jiuding was cast, it was handed down from Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties.

Jiuding was cast in Kunwu. Lu Chunqiu and Guang Yun recorded: "Kunwu made pottery." "Seven Signs of Yun Qi" also records that the Kunwu family mined metal before the Xia Dynasty, and used it as a pottery-making method to "become a model" to make molds and cast metal utensils. Due to the superb casting skills of Kunwu people, the official position in charge of bronze refining before the Zhou Dynasty was also called Kunwu.

Kunwu people's exquisite metal making skills naturally undertake the task of making Jiuding. The engineer who is Jiuding is called Fei Lian. Before casting the tripod, Kunwu exorcist held a grand ritual divination ceremony. Jiuding was cast as he wished. The tripod is engraved with the names and places of various countries in the Xia Dynasty, as well as the beautiful mountains and rivers of Kyushu and strange gods.

Ding became a national treasure. When the Shang Dynasty destroyed the Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, it first seized Jiuding and hid it in the ancestral temple. This is the fact that "destroying its ancestral temple and moving its heavy weapon". Many Ding events in ancient books and documents, such as "When the king became a Ding", "The King of Chu seized the Ding", "Chyi Chin fought for the Ding", "Defending the country by Jiuding" and "Fishing for Ding in Surabaya", are all stories about Ding as a national token.

How big is the tripod? Lv Buwei is a man as big as Jiuding. According to Lu's Spring and Autumn Annals, if the three armed forces are hungry, they should not live next to the tripod, which means that the tripod can be used as a rice cooker for the three armed forces. "Historical Records" also records. Qin Wuwang is famous for his courage. He tried his best to lift a tripod, but he was exhausted. Jinding, as the ancients said, now weighs about three or four hundred Jin.

Where is Kunwu? "Geography of Hanshu" records: "Puyang is the city of Zhuan Xu, the world of Xia Hou, and Kunwu lives there." The street in Zhuan Xu is the mound, which is today's Gaocheng site (Gaocheng Village, Wuxing Township, Puyang County). Today's "Puyang County Records" also records that in the sixth year of Zhong Kang, Fan Yingong, the great grandson of Zhuan Xu, was canonized as Bo by Zhong Kang (historical name) and renamed Kunwuguo. Diqiu, the capital of Kunwu, lived for the first time 13.

According to the Geography of the Pre-Han Dynasty, the Book of the Tang Dynasty and the Minutes of Yu Fang, the Records of Puyang County 1980-2000 concluded that the capital of Zhuan Xu, the capital of Kunwu in Xia Dynasty and the capital of Weidong moved to one place, that is, Diqiu, Kunwu City and Dewey were in one place (P 105). However, under the entry of "Ancient City" and "Kunwu", it is indicated that "Kunwu Ancient City is thirty miles southwest of Puyang County" was given the title of Kunwu to Fan in ancient times. Good at making ceramics and casting bronzes. Xia Qi once ordered Jiuding to be cast in Kunwu, which is here (P 134). Therefore, local chronicles have different views on Kunwu's current address. Where the hell is Kunwu City? This needs further study by historians.
