Chang people follow the funeral custom. A few people suffering from malignant diseases or women who died in childbirth must be cremated before being buried in coffins. In Achang's reproductive concept, both boys and girls are respected. Pregnant women should not eat other people's ginger. If there is a pregnant woman, her husband cannot attend the funeral. Chang people should seek the help of many children when delivering a baby, instead of letting people who have no children deliver a baby. Another special ancient custom is to make babies worship trees and boulders as "father-in-law" according to divination.
