How did Zhou Youwang die?

Zhou Youwang was killed in the national subjugation. In the 11th year of Zhou Youwang (77 1 year ago), Shen Hou joined forces with Qi and western barbarians to attack Zhou Youwang, killed Zhou Youwang at the foot of Mount Li, and the Western Zhou Dynasty perished. Zhou Youwang's name was Ji Gongqiu, the son of Zhou Xuanwang's Ji Jing, the Queen Jiang, and the 12th monarch of the Western Zhou Dynasty. His reign was from 78 1 to 77 1.

Zhou Youwang is his son, and his mother Jiang Hou is the daughter of the monarch of Qi. In the second year of Zhou Youwang (780 years ago), there were many serious natural disasters, and an earthquake occurred in Haojing, the capital of the Western Zhou Dynasty (now Xi 'an, Shaanxi), which caused the vibration of three rivers: Jingjing, Weihe and Luoluo.

In the same year, the Jing, Wei and Luo rivers dried up and Qishan collapsed. Later, he appointed his uncle as Stuart of the Zhou royal family, in charge of land and household registration throughout the country.

Zhou Youwang was greedy and corrupt and didn't ask about politics, so he appointed Guo Shifu as an official to take charge of politics. In the eighth year of Zhou Youwang (774 BC), Zhou Youwang deposed the official office, deposed the empress dowager and the prince Ji Yijiu, made his favorite concubine Cong Si become the queen, praised his son Ji Bo as the prince, and hurt the prince Ji Yijiu, which made the father of the empress dowager very angry.

In the 11th year of Zhou Youwang (before 77 1 year), Shen Hou, together with Gou Guo and Yi Xi Quanrong, attacked Zhou Youwang, killed Zhou Youwang at the foot of Mount Li, and the Western Zhou Dynasty perished. After the death of Zhou Youwang, the princes and Shen Hou * * * established the succession of the former Prince Ji Yijiu, which was called the Eastern Zhou Dynasty in Zhou Pingwang.
