What's the difference between Yijing and Zhouyi?

The difference between Zhouyi and Yijing is that Yijing contains Zhouyi, which covers a wider range. The Book of Changes is not a complete work, it is divided into three parts: Lianshan, Guizang and Zhouyi. So the Book of Changes is only a part of the Book of Changes.

The narrow sense of the Book of Changes, namely the Book of Changes, is a simple divination, as concise as a textbook; Biography, on the other hand, contains a lot of historical philosophy and speculation, which makes the Book of Changes no longer a simple reference book for divination and fortune-telling.

As far as the content is concerned, these "three changes" are all 64 individual hexagrams with eight diagrams overlapping. What is the specific difference? Probably because the dynasties were different, they were all divination textbooks of Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, and only Zhouyi was handed down.

According to relevant legends, Fu created the Eight Diagrams and developed sixty-four hexagrams on the basis of the Eight Diagrams. These three parts, together with epigrams, eight diagrams, sixty-four hexagrams and epigrams created by Duke Zhou, constitute the classic part of the Book of Changes. This Book of Changes is a reduced version of the Book of Changes mentioned earlier.

And this is the significance of learning the Book of Changes. The value of Zhouyi lies in righteousness, and the charm of Zhouyi lies in its openness, inclusiveness and mystery in divination.
