I have been a Buddhist for a long time. I often see many people slandering Buddhism and preaching Taoism on the Internet, and I feel that my confidence is shaken and I am going crazy.

It doesn't matter whether you believe in Buddhism or religion. What matters is your persistence! Because both Buddha and Tao are trudgers pursuing the road of the universe, fundamentally speaking, they are pursuing the same direction.

Let's use modern words to understand it! Let's look at an example first:

Take "mountain climbing" as an example. First of all, let's make sure that the process of "climbing to the top of the mountain" is an inevitable result and will definitely not change. So A, B and C climbed the mountain together. A holds the south slope and climbs up with a stick. B take the north cliff and climb it with a hammer; C took the Western Wall and climbed it with a claw plow; They all climbed to the top of the mountain and began to collect their disciples after coming down. They all use their own climbing experience and tools to teach their disciples how to treat the other two people and their own experiences, or admit or deny the achievements of the other two people. Then, the realization of the fact of "climbing to the top of the mountain" becomes "objective fact", but these methods based on their own experience are called "subjective experience".

In the Diamond Sutra, the Buddha once said that "the sages do nothing but differ", which means that A, B and C are at odds, that is, the essence of religion is the same, which is only caused by the differences of the founders' own educational level, social background, growth environment, comprehension ability, expression ability and communication ability.

Therefore, the core of all religions is to "know or understand the truth of the universe" and complete the ultimate concern for life. Take Christianity as an example. I think the core is "those who believe in me will live forever".

As for fortune telling, the principle is the same, because it is based on Zhouyi, which is also one of the tools to interpret the truth of the universe. Wonderful and used for fortune telling, that is, "anti-aircraft guns kill mosquitoes, which is overqualified." What's more, fortune tellers all over the world cheat under the banner of "Ten Fortune Tellers and Nine Liars, One Bucket and Half Water" in Zhouyi. Real experts in Zhouyi seldom tell fortune (they are all reading Universe Avenue), just as we adults seldom learn from children to run a family!
