Professor Ceng Shiqiang: How to study the Book of Changes?

First, buy a relatively ordinary book, remember: it is not a vernacular version, but an ancient version, but it must be explained. Although different scholars have different interpretations of the Book of Changes, it will be easier for us to remember it after reading the explanation in the initial learning process.

Second, the second step is the most difficult and tiring step. After this step, the following study will be easy. The Book of Changes has sixty-four hexagrams. Make a good plan and memorize the hexagrams in a period of time. Don't be afraid, when you make up your mind and start to put it into action, you can do it, and you will have a little sense of accomplishment every time you recite a hexagram!

Third, after completing the arduous plan of the previous step, I will plunge into the sea of books and find some books reviewed by scholars or some novels involving Zhouyi. In the process of reading, don't blindly believe. At this time, you should have your own opinion, because different people have different explanations, and you can't blindly "follow the trend".

Fourth, find some relatively abstruse books to read, because you have achieved little at this time, and it will be helpful to read more books such as Daoism and Feng Shui.
