The so-called "fate" refers to all kinds of "karma" created by our past generations. Once the karma is formed, it will always follow us. The Buddhist scripture says, "If you rob 100,000 people, you will never lose your power. When you encounter karma, you will still suffer the consequences." If karma is not reported, it will always exist and will not disappear. Therefore, there is also a popular saying in Buddhism that "you can't take it away, you can only take it away."

Some people say that "everything is decided by fate, not by people at all", while others say that "man can conquer nature and fate is in his own hands", and they hold their own opinions and argue endlessly. People who hold the former view are mostly hit by "fate", encounter difficulties in life, encounter insurmountable obstacles, or encounter changes in life, leaving permanent regrets for themselves and so on. , and therefore deeply sigh; The latter believes that he can overcome everything. As long as he grows stronger, he can give orders and do nothing, so he firmly believes that fate is made by himself and everything can be changed.

Strictly speaking, we should not look at anything one-sidedly, but dialectically. There is a "golden mean" in Confucianism and a "golden mean" in Buddhism. Both of them are impartial, do not fall on both sides, and take a harmonious golden mean, which is also the way to perfection and beauty. Zeng Guofan said: "If you achieve great things, people will live half, and God will live half."
