Which places of interest in Ganzhou have the longest history?

1, Confucian Temple

Ganzhou Confucian Temple is located in the southeast of the old city of Ganzhou, on the north side of the eastern section of Houde Road. This area has been the religious and cultural area of the ancient city of Ganzhou since the Song Dynasty, and it is still the most concentrated place to preserve historical relics in Ganzhou.

On the east side of the Confucian Temple is Ciyun Temple (now Houde Road Primary School) and its affiliated pagoda, and on the west side is Wu Miao Temple. Opposite the Confucian Temple are Guangxiao Temple, Li Anquan, Yehuating and Lianxi Academy. Now it is Ganzhou No.1 Middle School. ?

In ancient times, there were Confucian temples in every city above the county level. This Confucius Temple has dual functions: First, it is also called Confucius Temple, which is a place for offering sacrifices to Confucius saints; The second is Ganxian County School (formerly Ganzhou belongs to Ganxian County). That is, for local students to study. ?

There are five large-scale Confucian temples in the province, and Ganzhou Confucian Temple is the best in scale, grade and preservation. The Confucian Temple in Ganzhou used to occupy about 10000 square meters, but now it occupies about 7000 square meters (including the square). The layout of Confucian temples is the same regardless of their size and level.

2. Bajingtai

Bajingtai, located at the intersection of Zhangshui and Gongshui in northern Ganzhou, was built in Jiayou period of Northern Song Dynasty (1056- 1063), which is a symbol of the ancient city of Ganzhou. The platform is three stories high and 28 meters high. Built on the ancient city wall of the Song Dynasty, overlooking eight scenic spots in Ganzhou. At the end of the turtle horn under the stage, Zhang and Gong merged into the Ganjiang River and ran north.

It is said that the abbreviation of Jiangxi Province is "Gan" from the combination of Zhangshui and Gongshui. In the Song Dynasty, there were more than a dozen Tibetan soldiers' caves on the ancient city wall, which have been well preserved so far, quite like the Zhonghua Gate built in Nanjing in the Ming Dynasty. There is Ganzhou Museum in Taiwan Province, which has turned into Eight Scenes Park under the stage. Celebrities such as Su Dongpo and Wen Tianxiang all wrote poems in Bajingtai.

Not far from Bajingtai, there is a villa where Jiang Jingguo lived, which is also a scenic spot. Gongjiang River is the largest tributary of Ganjiang River, which originated in the southern section of Wuyi Mountain. There is no bridge on the Gongjiang River, so the only way to cross the river is by ferry. Until the Southern Song Dynasty, Hong Mai, then governor of Ganzhou, presided over the construction of the first pontoon bridge on the Gongjiang River, which brought convenience to people on both sides of the strait.

3. Ciyun Building

Ciyun Pagoda in Ganzhou, also known as Buddha Pagoda, is located in the east of Ganzhou. It is a typical high-rise brick tower in the Song Dynasty, and it is a masterpiece in the ancient pagodas in southern Jiangxi. It is an affiliated building of the ancient Ciyun Temple. The tower consists of underground palace, tower foundation, tower body and tower gate. The original height of this tower is 42 meters, but now it is 49.9 meters. The plane of the tower is hexagonal, with a grade of ***9, and the center of the tower is empty.

According to research, the tower was built in the first year of Song Renzong Tiansheng (1023), with a history of more than 980 years. The pagoda was originally located in Ciyun Temple, hence the name "Ciyun Pagoda". In the past, this tower had the function of climbing the tower and overlooking it: wooden components and eaves cloisters were picked out of the tower, and there were flat seats on each floor to facilitate people to stand and walk, forming a cloister for tourists to climb the tower and enjoy the scenery.

In the 23rd year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (1906), the cornice board was burned in a fire, leaving an isolated tower. 1957 the people's government of Jiangxi province listed ciyun tower as the first batch of provincial cultural relics protection units. In 2004, Ganzhou municipal government allocated funds to repair and restore Ciyun Tower.

4. Yangming College

"Ming Zheng De, governor of Gannan and governor of Gannan, Wang Shouren. After he suppressed the peasant uprising (that is, calling himself a "mountain thief"), he gathered people to preach "to conscience"? On the enlightenment of folk customs, Yangming Academy was founded. In the 13th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (1640), Chen Luzhong, the magistrate of Ganxian County, renamed Yangming Academy as Li 'an Academy and moved it to the left of Guangxiao Temple.

In the 22nd year of Qing Daoguang (1842), the magistrate Wang Fan advocated donating money to rebuild Yugutai Academy. Establish articles of association, modify literature and art, worship Wang Shouren, and keep company with He Tingren and Huang Honggang. The following year, dorri expanded again and wrote for himself. Liu Ying, the magistrate of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty, rebuilt it and revised its articles of association. In the 12th year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (1873), Governor Liu Kunyi presented books, and nearly 200 students in the Academy were attending classes.

In the 28th year of Guangxu (1902), Cha Enmao, the magistrate, changed the Academy to the middle school attached to Ganzhou (now No.1 Middle School in Ganzhou). "It may have been destroyed several times, and no one has seen the historical sites of the academy since liberation. Even the "Li 'an Academy" in Ganzhou No.1 Middle School has disappeared, except for the "Yangming Academy", a blue brick building in Ganzhou No.1 Middle School built during the Republic of China.

5. Guangxiao Temple

Guangxiao Temple, located in Ganzhou No.1 Middle School, was once known as "the first temple in southern Jiangxi" and was listed as a cultural relic protection unit, facing the Confucian Temple and Ciyun Building across the street. There is a folk saying that "there is Guangxiao Temple in Ganzhou first, and then there is Nanhua Temple in Shaoguan". Unfortunately, it's broken now.

Guangzhou folk proverb says, "Before Yangcheng, there was filial piety". Guangxiao Temple in Guangzhou is the oldest and largest Buddhist temple in Yangcheng. Guangxiao Temple, located in Xiaoguang Road, is one of the four jungles in Guangzhou (Xiaoguang, Liu Rong, Haizhuang and Hualin Temple). 196 1 in March, the State Council was declared as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
