It is a pity to see the abnormal sacrificial way of Shang Dynasty through the stepmother Wu Ding.

Since ancient times, Yin people have used five sacrificial ceremonies, namely, communication, imperial examination, thanks and sacrifice, to offer sacrifices to their ancestors in turn and repeatedly. This kind of sacrifice was held one after another by Wang Shi, and it was also recorded in Oracle Bone Inscriptions. According to the Oracle inscriptions of Huang Group in Wending, Di Yi and the period, it takes thirty-six or thirty-seven days for the five sacrifices to worship the ancestors in turn. That is, two sacrificial cycles are equivalent to two solar years.

After the death of Shang King, Tiangan was used as the temple name, and the sacrifices were also made in the order of Tiangan, according to the date of sixty years, so the king was sacrificed on the day when the temple name of Wang belonged to Tiangan. That is, Tai Jia offered sacrifices on the first day, Wu Ding offered sacrifices on the fourth day, and so on. Therefore, the system of Zhou Sacrifice in Shang Dynasty is very regular.
