The old hexagram is the seventeenth of the sixty-four hexagrams. Preface to divination says, "We must follow the plan, so we should follow it." That is to say, a peaceful and happy society will inevitably let everyone follow, so divination will follow. Judging from the shape, the upper one is "exchange" for joy, and the lower one is "surprise" for thunder. The divination in front is jade, which symbolizes peace and happiness. Then a peaceful, fun, harmonious and stable society will surely make everyone yearn for and follow. Therefore, divination follows divination. Compared with personnel, as long as you are humble and easy-going to others, then others will come to be easy-going to yourself. If you can get along well and get along well, then nothing is unsuccessful. Therefore, the words of the Sui hexagrams show that as long as we can live in harmony, live in harmony and work together harmoniously, the result of our career will be original, prosperous, beneficial and trustworthy, and there will be no disaster. Of course, the determination of divination is based on faithfulness. Only a strong and pure character can achieve prosperous and beneficial results in the early Yuan Dynasty, and no disaster will occur. Otherwise, disaster is inevitable. Here is an example of ancient divination: In Zuo Zhuan's Nine Years of "xianggong", a woman named Mujiang wanted to remarry and go to divination, and she got this divination. The soothsayer explained: "She is obedient, easy-going, peaceful and happy. She goes out when she is obedient, and she has four virtues: yuan, constancy, reason and truth. She is lucky and can get married." But Mujiang did say: "When I remarried, I never adhered to the virtue of female chastity, and I still didn't know how to be satisfied when I was enjoying prosperity. These four virtues don't exist in me, and they don't meet the basic conditions needed for fortune-telling. How can I be lucky? The result is bound to be dangerous, and disaster will definitely befall me. " Thus, Mujiang's insight can tell the true essence of divination.

Explaining this idea, Xun Zhuan said: "Follow, be soft when you first come, be happy when you move, and follow. The tycoon is innocent, the world is ready at any time, and then it is great! " In other words, it is masculinity to follow divination. Living under the feminine touch of divination, divination will move, and divination will please people. This kind of harmony, cooperation and pleasure is moved by divination. With divination, there is no fault in the prosperous times, and everyone in the world follows time, taking this as an opportunity to develop continuously. It can be seen that the time significance of Sui hexagrams is very great.

Xiangyue: There is thunder in the river, so follow; A gentleman entered the party loudly.

"Sound" means direction, "gloom" means gloom, here refers to sunset, and "banquet" means peace. With hexagrams, the upper hexagrams are changed into Ze, and the lower hexagrams are shocked into thunder, symbolizing that there is thunder in Ze. In other words, the thunder lurks in the depths of Ze and stays calm for the time being. From the perspective of gossip, the orientation of "earthquake" is in the east, the sun rises in the east, and the orientation of "exchange" is in the west, symbolizing the end of the sun in the west; From the four seasons, "earthquake" symbolizes spring and "exchange" symbolizes autumn. One day, it symbolizes sunrise and sunset. For the four seasons, spring sowing and autumn harvest; For everything, life is the beginning of rest, and rest is to breed new vitality; Everything in the universe is endless in the long river of time, so The Legend of Incense tells us that a gentleman should follow this natural law, work diligently during the day and go home to rest at night in order to better meet tomorrow's work.
