The director gave up many funny magic gadgets in the original work, and without the neurotic divination teacher Professor prout Ni, those lovely ghosts floating around collectively "asked for leave" in this episode. In addition, Harry's hazy love for Zhang Qiu, the distress after lovelorn love, and the funny triangle relationship between Ron, Hermione and krum are not handled delicately enough.

Incoherence of plot is also one of the defects of the film. The opening Quidditch World Cup jumped too fast.
