Historical evolution:

Xuejiawan Town was established in August 1990.

In August, 1999, the Banner People's Government moved to Xuejiawan Town.

In August 2005, Xuejiawan Town merged with Yuanyaogou Township, Hadai Gaole Township, Haizita Town and Changtan Township (Changtan, Hala Bao Fang and Yelingou) and Dongdui Town (Daigou, Banglangtai and Wangqingta) to form Xuejiawan Town.
