Read the novel "The Pit of Copper Coin"

I have been reading the novel The Pit of Copper Coin for the past two days. Although I haven't finished reading it, I am already very touched. This novel is well written. The main content is the process of a black dragon and a monk, from an accident, looking for the black dragon keel together and cracking the secret of the monk's amnesia, and finally getting to know each other.

In the process of finding the keel, they pass through different places and experience different people and things, and these people and things will form different stories. These stories are well written, seemingly dull, but in fact they are affectionate.

One of the stories is The Troupe. On the way to find the keel, the black dragon and the monks met a walking wild troupe. It's the kind of troupe that doesn't have a fixed residence of its own and has been wandering around and singing wherever it is needed. Bantou is a warm-hearted man who helped the Black Dragon and them on the way. On the way with the troupe, the black dragon and the monks found that all the people in the troupe were dead and had been crushed to death by the landslide caused by the earthquake on the hillside where they were going. But they didn't know that they were dead, so they persisted in going to a place regardless of the snow, and at the same time they enthusiastically helped others on the way.

Later, when the story developed, the Black Dragon and the monks found out that the troupe insisted on singing in an empty village because a Xu Dashan in this village helped them, and they didn't expect to report it. Knowing that Xu likes listening to opera, they promised that if Xu wanted to listen, they would sing.

Because there is a promise here, the people in this troupe are dead, but their souls don't want to leave. The story says that this is obsession, not a living person or a ghost, because they have obsession and don't want to leave when they are dead. They are full of promises to be fulfilled. Sticking to their promises is their highest mission. That's why they're obsessed.

In fact, Xu and everyone in the village are also dead. For some reason, they never left the village. Every year on the appointed day, they will enthusiastically listen to the troupe singing. People in the troupe come to the theatre enthusiastically on the appointed day every year, so they insist on singing on every appointed day, year after year.

When I went to the opera for the last time, Xu He, the head of the troupe, seemed to have realized that they were no longer alive, and they could no longer keep their future promises. The conversation between the two people is not clear, but both imply farewell. From then on, it will be difficult to meet again.

After reading this, I was moved by this feeling.

This passage is well written and quoted here.
