Image number analysis and semantic analysis of Yijing

There are many processes in studying the Book of Changes, which can be roughly divided into two schools: the school of image number and the school of righteousness number.

Image digital school

Image-number books are used separately in Yi-ology.

"Image" refers to form, also known as "Yi Xiang".

According to the Book of Changes, gossip is formed by looking up at astronomical images and overlooking geographical images, and taking images of nearby people and distant objects. Traditionally, the images in the Book of Changes have three meanings:

1. The shapes of eight diagrams, sixty-four hexagrams and three hundred and eighty-four hexagrams, namely, hexagrams and hexagrams. For example, the image of Ding Gua is like a "Ding", the lower hexagrams are like the feet of Ding, the five hexagrams are like the ears of Ding, the upper hexagrams are like the bars of Ding, and the middle three hexagrams are like the belly of Ding.

The second is the things symbolized by gossip, such as doing things for the father and the sky, doing things for the mother and Kun, and so on.

Third, the specific things mentioned in the hexagrams, such as the dragon in the hexagrams of Ganba and the mare in the hexagrams of Kumba.

"Number" is an exponential sum calculation, also known as "easy number". Yi Hao also has three meanings:

First, the number of attributes of each hexagram is six, seven, eight and nine. Seven and nine represent odd numbers, representing yang, and six and eight are even numbers, representing yin.

Second, the numbers in the position sequence are the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and last, that is, the changing law of position.

Thirdly, in the process of divination, the required divination image is deduced according to the calculation of the number of grass.

Yi Li school

"Righteousness" means meaning, and "reason" means truth. The school of righteousness pays attention to the meaning and truth contained in the names, words and images of hexagrams in Zhouyi, and explains them from the abstract aspects of virtue, ability, attribute and meaning.

Image number and meaning can be regarded as two sides of the same thing. For example, dryness has a powerful meaning, because it is like the sky, and the running law of celestial bodies is endless and powerful, which just shows the healthy attribute.
