Brief introduction of Duan village and town

Duancun Town is located in the southwest of Pingyao County. There are Pingchuan and hilly areas in the territory, covering an area of 26 square kilometers. It governs 20 villages, with 6,853 households and 26,365 people, including 36 non-agricultural population1person. 1957 is Duancun Township, 196 1 is Duancun People's Commune, and 1984 is changed to Town. The Town People's Government is located in the village in the north 15km section of the county. The area has undulating terrain and fertile land, with an altitude of 752 meters, an average annual precipitation of 448.8 mm and 30,666 mu of cultivated land. The economy is dominated by agriculture, with a total grain output of 7888.3 tons from 65438 to 0985. There are six enterprises in the town, including chemical plant, dust removal equipment factory, cement factory, knitting factory and foundry. There are 22 village-run enterprises, 30 joint ventures, 350 individual enterprises and 2,066 employees. There are 1 hospitals and vocational middle schools, 4 junior high schools, 9 primary schools and 6 kindergartens in the town.
