At the beginning of the consultation, I tried to take her to sort out her values.

However, I soon found that this little girl has many repeated and contradictory situations.

She said she was eager for novelty, so I asked, why didn't you jump out earlier?

She replied that she was forced to find a job at that time, and her family managed to get into this unit through relationships, so she went to work with the original intention of riding a donkey to find a horse as a stopgap measure.

I asked another question. Since it was an expedient measure at that time, why did it last for five years without other attempts and explorations?

The little girl said that she had tried hard, but she didn't know what to learn. In addition, she later felt that this working state was very comfortable. The daily work content is very simple. Although it is not compiled, various benefits are not bad. Gradually, she almost forgot the original intention of the expedient measure. If she can keep doing this, she is willing to retire.

Unfortunately, it backfired.

Because of the sluggish market, the organization where the little girl works has to lay off employees, and the lack of unskilled contract workers has become the hardest hit area for layoffs. The little girl panicked.

I know that this little girl's plight is by no means unique to her.

Unclear values, unclear goals, efforts without direction, and lack of action when trying to change ... these are like boulders that hinder everyone's progress.

In this world, it is said that 80% people have never really made a career plan for themselves, which is a sad fact.

In the workplace, employees are mostly some kind of resources and tools to realize organizational interests in the eyes of employers, and organizations have no such obligation to fully explore the potential of every employee. As the saying goes? A monolithic job, mobile employees? In order to ensure stability and maximize benefits, fixed posts and indefinite personnel are the most commonly used means of organizations.

In other words, the organization has no responsibility and obligation for career planning except its own concern.

In many people's minds, planning is to draw a circle and sit back and relax once and for all.

In fact, career planning is far from simple. It is not an accurate career detector, nor a fortune teller, nor can it solve all problems at once, because in planning, variables need to be considered at all times and different adjustments should be made according to different situations.

Among all the planning theories, Harvard Business Review once shared four methods. Here, I combine my personal understanding and supplement as follows:

First, reflect and summarize regularly.

Is there a popular saying now? Busy is a good medicine to cure all confusion? Be careful, this is poisonous ecstasy.

Who says you're not confused when you're busy?

You know, when we are so busy, it is precisely the time of strategic thinking that is sacrificed.

Strategic planning pays attention to the long term, and the time span is very long. The problems mostly involve some seemingly boring philosophical problems, which are easily overlooked.

For example, how are you going to spend your life? What do you think is the meaning of life? What do you value? What kind of people do you want to deal with? What kind of person do you want to be? Wait a minute.

Think clearly about these fundamental problems so as not to bump around like headless flies.

Second, figure out what to do next.

Can you pass this? Pre-write a resume? The way to achieve it.

You can imagine, five years later, when you apply again, what do you want your resume to look like? What title do you want to hold? What kind of professional resume do you want to show? What position do you want to have and what kind of work do you take charge of?

In this way, you will force yourself to think about the present?

What skills need to be developed at this stage? What qualifications do you need? What are the promotion channels and methods of the company? What efforts can you make to fight for it? Wait a minute.

Third, do some advanced and in-depth work.

In the career stage, pay attention to execution and efficiency, such as speed and quantity as the assessment criteria; However, in the career development period, execution and efficiency will no longer be the key goals to be pursued, but will undertake some valuable and in-depth work, such as writing a book, launching a potential product, undertaking a meaningful project (such as formulating company performance appraisal standards) and so on.

In the stage of career development, your systematic thinking ability, management ability, habit of spontaneous work, communication and coordination ability, teamwork ability and so on have become the most important.

Fourth, establish a reputation outside the company.

You must have found this phenomenon. On the one hand, the boss felt that there was no suitable candidate inside, and he parachuted executives from outside and offered high remuneration. Do they believe it? Do foreign monks like chanting? ; At the same time, this practice will aggravate the dissatisfaction of employees, and most of them are employees with ideas and abilities who are lost every year.

From this perspective, professionals are often easily underestimated within the company.

For many people in the workplace, besides bowing their heads, they must look up and establish a reputation for themselves outside the company, so that even if the industry environment is worse, on the one hand, you can have more opportunities than others, on the other hand, you can have enough courage and confidence to start a business.

In the eyes of consultants, there is no difference between good and bad people in the workplace. I prefer to divide by state. At both ends of the state, one is sleeping and the other is awake.

All the people who have the courage to do career counseling are mostly upper middle school. They felt the pain. At the moment they decided to consult, they at least had a strong desire for change. However, the occurrence of changes depends on the parties themselves.

The survival rule of the bear world is that after work, you should try your best to please everywhere, so the harder you work, the greater your dependence on the platform and the lower your sense of value. The lower the sense of value, the more you rely on this platform, and you can't afford any trouble.

An eagle is a sober person.

They have bright eyes and set one goal after another for their lives. Even if they have more honors, they are not proud of themselves. Even if they are hit hardest, they will never be depressed, such as Han Xin in ancient times. Because they have a clear goal, even the unbearable humiliation of their legs to outsiders can't destroy his faith and determination.
